Lift Coffee Shop & Cafe

Nice little, local coffee spot. I'd just ran the Monument Avenue 10k and needed a bite to eat. They were offering 10% off for runners, so I grabbed a sausage, egg and cheese bagel and a latte. The food was terrific. It did take some time to receive, but once in hand it was fresh, hot and delicious. The latte was perfect too. The staff was accommodating, but I wouldn't say welcoming. Seemed to be just 'going thru the motions' of taking an order, ringing it up and collecting payment. Not really what you'd expect from a local business competing with the breakfast juggernauts of Dunkin' and Sbux. Would return if in the area for breakfast or in need of a caffeine injection.

Delicious food and coffee. I would highly recommend their avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches! The people working were very friendly. I will definitely be back!

Idk what was in the sandwich I had but it was probably the best breakfast sandwich of my 29 years of living!!! And the green smoothie was so good. If I lived in Richmond I’d be here everyday!

Coffee and oatmeal were awful. Just bad all around and disappointing.

Cute little coffee shop with lots of options for everyone. Only had an iced latte and a chocolate frappe with a cookie which were all great, but the food looked really good too.

Coffee, desserts, even the food is very good. Also wonderful-- plenty of plugs for your laptop and phone.

Very cozy coffee shop in the arts district of Richmond. It serves mainly the students of VCU (at least the times I have been there) Good coffee and offers wifi. Looking forward to going back during good weather- cute patio seating on the side walk

Cool place. Feels very open and friendly. Only reason for 3 stars is wifi was a rough experience. Had to connect and disconnect 3x before it connected and then it went in and out for me. Overall, really liked it here...love the Jackson ward location. I think they'll be able to fix their wifi easily.

Looks like you are allowed to bring dogs and dolphins outside but not inside. Wanted to ask what their bird policy was but really dont want to push it.

I used to go here fairly often when I lived close by. The food and coffee is excellent. However, the staff attitude sometimes felt aloof and its pretty expensive. But, I did keep coming back because it was good. From the other reviews, it seems that not everyone had this negative staff experience.

You had a customer..keep ur nasti attitude to urself next time, & GL. Everthing here is good, ecxept some of the company. Whatever.
