If you're looking for fast, this ain't it. I waited over 20 minutos for my breakfast burrito to go, which cost $12+, and it was a pretty small portion. My friend got the avocado toast, $8+, also a pretty small slice. She waited for me to get my food before eating hers. After about 20 minutes of waiting, she decided to just go ahead and eat it, but when she opened the box, the avocado had already turned a brownish color. So we aren't sure if the color change was a result of being in that box for 20 minutes, or if the avocado was already browning when they made the toast. Nice enough service, but nothing to cheer over. Store regulations don't allow employees to take reusable cups from customers to use for their beverages, so I couldn't use the cup that I brought. I like finding local gems while I'm traveling; I wouldn't call this one a diamond.

I ordered an iced white mocha with oat milk and wow it was incredibly delicious! The espresso was of the best quality and elevated the taste of the beverage. The baristas know their coffee! Just a heads up, it's an expensive coffee! Worth it!

Lift has been my saving grace for the past week. Itâs a calm atmosphere in a chaotic world- though it notably still respects what is making the world chaotic by having the employees consistently wear masks (something I cannot say for many places). I always get a dirty chai, and I appreciate that it isnât as confrontational or contrived as other coffee shops sometimes push their chai to be. I saw some reviews note the food takes longer than, say, Starbucks to prepare, and they are not wrong, but that is because it is not a mass produced egg conglomeration that is microwaved. It is not the edgiest, most intense coffee shop in the world, but it is local and clean, with good drinks and good people, and in the morning when the world is overwhelming, that is exactly what I need.

My Sister and her boyfriend told me about this really good breakfast/coffee shop that they have here in Richmond and to my surprise when we got there, they were not opened so we continued walking alongside broad street to look at another place and we happened to find lift coffee shop, I got a hot chocolate(since I cannot drink coffee for religious purposes) and this ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant(I was originally going to go for a bagel but they were sold out, if I had to guess the bagels were popular there), the breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious and the hot chocolate was super smooth and it was very flavorful, the atmosphere of the shop had a classic nostalgic feel of what a coffee shop should be, the staff were friendly, also followed covid procedures, and were super helpful, seating in the place was limited for reasons with the pandemic but they had a patio(which we did not see because we didn't have too much time as we were heading to the science museum to see a train show), the drinks came out quickly and pretty efficient, the only complaint we had was how long it took for our breakfast sandwiches took for them to be ready, we probably had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes, but they were definitely worth the wait, overall if I am in Richmond again and looking for a breakfast spot, I will absolutely be returning here

Ordered the coffee with baileys. Couldnât taste any baileys. Ordered an extra shot for an extra $5. So stingy and still canât taste any baileys. $17 for a boozy coffee is such a scam.

Hot, ready-made delicious breakfast sandwiches, pup-friendly environment, helpful and cheery staff, and patio seating! Enjoyed my latte and my food, although prepare to wait a while if getting breakfast to-go! I'll be going back to Lift as my go-to downtown option.

Great dirty chai latte and nice outdoor seating. The food could be better and made from scratch or local bakeries. The grilled muffin was definitely purchased from Costco and given a heavy slab of butter but heyâ it was still good.

Nice little coffee shop in downtown Richmond. Easy walk on a nice morning or afternoon from the Jefferson and Graduate hotels.

Itâs Costco baked goods with great value (Walmart) toppings. I saw the containers and labels. Youâre paying $5 for someone else to take a 50cent croissant out of packaging. The cold brew was good, Iâll admit.
