Nice local cafe bush with quick baristas.
Breakfast fare is good.

Lattes are too inconsistent! I come here on Saturday mornings with my art friends to get coffee to go. I love the unique latte flavors here. One week the lattes are the best in the city; the next week they are too bitter with little flavoring. I guess it depends on who the barista is on the morning you go. If you go on Saturday mornings, I advise you to taste your lattes before leaving the coffee shop to make sure the flavoring is correct. They drinks are too expensive to be inconsistent.

I wouldn't go here if it was the last coffee shop in Richmond. Owner is a snake undercutting new hires by turning them into temporary laborers for cheap. Offering an insulting wage for starters then denying them tips for two week training when the intention was to just let them go. The only one winning here is her wallet and the old pretentious staff that gatekeeps people out of jobs for not fitting into their clique. There are better coffee shops in this city with far more community involvement and outreach, and faster service with a full staff at that.

Nonchalantly hip place. Great bagel, great chai tea. Recommended.

Lift is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in town! Their iced chai is absolutely delicious and their baristas are always so kind. The food is also great! Get a grilled muffin (you won’t regret it)! Their sandwiches are also great

Delicious coffee and egg cheese sandwich. They had soy and almond milk options. It’s spacious inside. Will definitely continue coming here and trying their other menu items.

Cute coffee shop with a great vibe. Espresso could have been stronger, I’d say add an extra one in your latte ;). I didn’t try the food but it looked delicious.

Cute coffee shop with some food too. I got an iced americano, it was good but not my best. Prices are fair. I’m not sure if it was the syrup, or the espresso, but there was a slight burnt/off taste. There wasn’t nearly enough ice for a hot day!
I’d come back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice

Beautiful breakfast cafe with outdoor seating front and back. Excellent food!

Lift Coffee shop provided great coffee and great food in an adorable setting. As simple as that sounds, it’s incredibly hard to do well, especially when you are as busy as I’ve seen Lift.
I ordered a plain frappe and strawberry Brie croissant. The frappe was the perfect consistency and prominently highlighted the espresso that went into the drink, which tasted fresh and recently roasted. There were 0 large chunks of ice that some coffee shops occasionally miss. All and all, the drink was the perfect antidote to a summer morning that was already quite toasty.
The strawberry and Brie croissant was also delicious - perfectly balancing the cheese and fruit. It was a testament to the outstanding quality of the frappe that I’m not waxing poetic about the croissant more…
The service is friendly and managed the morning rush, which never seemed to lull, with professionalism and curtesy.
