Ironclad Coffee Roasters & Baking Co., West End

I ordered an iced vanilla latte. Too much milk, way too sugary, not that coffee flavor I was expecting. Wanted to add a ahot of espresso, and my 16oz coffee came to be $10.47. Flavor not bad, but I’m still looking for that coffee punch espresso flavor. Too expensive for a coffee.

Love this cute little drive thru coffee shop. I love supporting local coffee shops and love the feature of drive thru since I’m a mom and don’t enjoy having to park and get all my kiddos out.

I love their lattes and you HAVE to try the cinnamon rolls! I dream about them, so delicious. We tried the hand pie/poptart looking pastry and wouldn't recommend, it was dry and not much filling.

Great quality coffee with really kind people working behind the counter. Very helpful with their recommendations. My husband got a Caramel Macchiato and I got one of their seasonal drinks with house made ginger snap milk!! Both were fantastic! Next time I’m going to get their NY Bagels they have flown in!!

Pleasantly surprised by the yummiest cinnamon roll and latte at this local RVA coffee spot. Love the drive thru/walk up feature. I also really liked the fact that the employees were kind, attentive, and respectful, plus the employees working were dressed classy in shirt/ties/vests which gave the whole vibe a proud to be here tone.
Will definitely be visiting again. Oh and if ya try the cinnamon roll ask them to heat it for a bit, life changing :)

Finally was able to try this coffee shop. We went through the drive through. The lady at the window was very nice and kind!

The coffee was a little too strong for me. If you’re not an every day coffee drinker, beware. I would order something else next time. My daughter didn’t like the ‘posh’tart, but I though they did pretty well with it.

I will say it’s pretty expensive! I was a little caught off guard.

Love this place! Everyone is super friendly and pleasant. I wanted to try it on opening day but wasn’t in the mood for a specialty coffee. Asked the guy at the window if I would insult him by ordering just a decaf and he said “absolutely not, glad you came by!” It was delicious. And so was the almond pastry. I’ve been back 5 times and it’s still delivering great customer service and delicious coffees. P.S. I’m def not the Pamela who wrote a negative review, lol, but I might have to use my bar name at the window next time! Welcome to the west end, Ironclad!

We are so grateful Ironclad has a location in the West End! From delicious breakfast items and treats to great seasonal drinks and the best coffee, we have found our favorite coffee shop.

Finally a local coffee spot in the West End! Excellent service and coffee. Ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, banana bread and a strawberry pastry tart. Delicious! Will definitely be coming back soon!

I've been enjoying Ironclad since it opened recently on our side of town. It was my experience this morning that compelled me to shout their praises. I've had their lattes hot and iced and they have all been quite tasty and comparable to some more well known chain coffee shops in price. Their baked goods are delicious as well and I am always drooling over them when I visit.

This morning I went through the drive thru with the intention of using my Google Pay. My phone wasn't working properly because user error, and after some headache on my end and patience on theirs, I told them I would run to my house and get my card (I live right down the street). The girl at the drive thru told me not to worry about it, gave me my coffee on the house, and even gave me a piece of coffee cake. It was so kind and so unnecessary especially because it was completely my fault. I was so floored and it really made my day. The coffee cake was delicious and moist too, not something I would normally order but I will be ordering it on the reg moving forward!

I will be recommending them to everyone I know in the area not just because of the delicious coffee and food but also for their kindness and patience.

Also their little boxes for food and forks they use are the CUTEST, not really pertinent but I had to throw that in. :)

Recently had a wonderful breakfast experience at this new Ironclad Coffee location.
Enjoyed a warm cinnamon roll which was delicious, accompanied by a delightful Dirty Chai.
Took home two bags of their uber fresh roasted whole bean coffees, a bag of Steam Engine and a bag of House of Usher.
The excellent coffee, great jumbo cinnamon rolls and a friendly staff guarantee I will return.
