Rise & Grind Cafe, Powhatan, VA

I’ve been here twice and both trips the service was quick and the staff were pleasant. The first time I was with a coworker and we were grabbing a bunch of hot coffees for members of our team and surprisingly enough we were in and out within 10 minutes. My second visit was the other day because I needed an iced coffee for a mid day pick me up. I’ve only gotten into iced coffee within the last few months and I appreciated how patient and helpful the women who took my order was with me. O settled on the iced caramel macchiato and I loved the fact they had almond milk and almond whipped cream! I didn’t have to add any additional sweetener or sugar so it was a double bonus for me. There were a few other people working inside the cafe and another group was ordering pastries while I waited so I’ll have to be sure to try those out the next time I stop in.

Nice new place for great coffee, great fresh unique pastries muffins and breads, and the atmosphere is cozy. Its great when they have local musicians there too. However the sandwich selection is premade Cysco eggs and sausage in microwave. Hoping for better next time.

Rise & Grind has only been open for a couple of months, and they're already gaining traction as a solid café with an exceptional product and first-rate service. With handmade baked goods and only the finest freshly-ground coffee, they are a treat. It is my hope that business stays booming for years to come.

we found this gem recently and have been back on a weekly basis. the coffee and ice cream are delicious! I also had the lox bagel which I found to be very good as well. the staff is very friendly and helpful. they always welcome us and our kids when we visit.

People are sooo nice! The scone was so good we only have a picture of the crumbs. The veggie bagel sandwich is also excellent.

Wasn’t sure what to order, and the lady behind the counter suggested a salted caramel chai latte and it was delicious! Will have to go back and order that.

We just went, for the first time, to Rise & Grind and met Shannon at her new coffee shop, who is so friendly and welcoming! Her coffee shop is a very upscale venue offering delicious drinks and treats. We will definitely be adding Rise & Grind to one of our favorite places to visit on a regular basis!

Found this coffee shop when I was looking for a new breakfast place to try and we ended up here and it’s the absolute cutest shop I’ve been too! Amazing coffee, sweet owners, & amazing food! Loved it so much I came back the next morning and brought my best friend with me and neither of us made it out of the shop with our coffee full, we finished it before we walked out! Definitely one of our new favorite places ❤️

One of my favorite coffee stops anywhere and its right around the corner. This is one of the best local hangouts in Powhatan and you are guaranteed to always be met with a smiling face and warm greeting. They have great menu selectons for food and coffee.

Yay awesome coffee shop in P'town! Rise & Grind in courthouse has amazing... coffee, atmosphere, food, parking! Will do again soon. Wish y'all were open on Sundays
