Cannot rave about this place enough! it's adorable, the food is good, the coffee is good, and the neighborhood/civic engagement is even better. Every waffle sandwich I've had there is incredible, it's so hard to choose a favorite, and their sides are incredible! Don't forget the coconut loaf, you won't regret it. You can also feel good about giving them your money, since they give back as much as they can to supporting the local community.

This place is so tasty. Literally the best waffles you'll ever have.

The waffle breakfast sandwich, lemon curd waffle, and corn pancake are all just as incredible as they look. The people are nice, and it's a very cute, quaint cafe for a brunch. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend and I go every Sunday ever since the first day we tried it. The coffee is Three Ships and very good. The Lattes are amazing! The menu changes every week, but I'm in love with each Liege waffle concoction that they surprise me with each week. It's a must go spot in Norfolk!

Probably the best place to enjoy coffee outside on the porch in all of Hamptons Roads. I haven’t found a better place and I’ve been searching. The lattes are on point, the porch is charming and the staff is very friendly and go out of their way to bring you a glass of water when you didn’t even think to request it. Very kind. They also have a fridge outside for people who are in need of food which says a lot. Have not had the food yet but looks divine.

Mea Culpa is the place to go for a lovely breakfast or lunch. They have Three Ships Coffee - absolutely the finest coffee in the area. Their liege waffle is made with a yeasted dough rather than a batter and rolled in pearl sugar before grilling. You can add lemon, coconut curd or goat cheese, and there'sa chocolate maple flavor. Any are great, but the complexity and flavor of the waffle alone is delicious. At the moment you can get coffee and a waffle for $5, a fantastic deal! If waffles aren't your thing, the savory oatmeal is unique and delicious. Instead of water or milk, this is made with a vegetable stock, and it has changed how we make oats in our home. This is a great place for everyone, including vegan and vegetarians.

The chickpea salad was one of the best salads I've had in quite some time. Very fresh ingredients. Loved the converted home look. Very clean. Outside seating as well.

Absolutely one of my favorite places in Norfolk. Their handcrafted coffees rival any coffeeshop in the area. The menu is brief and always evolving with favorite staples returning from time to time. I highly recommend the orzo when it's on the menu and you can't go wrong with a lemon waffle.

This place has the best lattes in all of downtown Norfolk and VA beach. It’s a little family shop. In addition to having the neat coffee experience, they also have a delicious waffle which is also a must have.

If you enjoy a good treat on the weekends, this is the best place to stop.
