Smith Mountain Lake Coffee House

The food is absolutely delicious 😋 I got the Egg Nog Mocha to go with my turkey croissant and it was awesome! My hubby got the chicken salad sandwich and he loved it!! Great service and a wonderful atmosphere, including the deck!!

It's not bad for being the only game in town. The highlight are the baked goods of which there are a good variety of reasonable quality. The coffee is passable with a clear focus on sweet beverages rather than really good coffee. Service was courteous if not overly efficient. Common area was large and nicely planned. As much as I would love this place to be an out of the way jem, it's really more of a passable place out that is out of the way.

We spent two nights at Smith Mountain Lake, and SML Coffee House was big part of the pleasure. Coffee and specialty drinks were excellent. Baked goods, especially just baked cinnamon buns were outstanding. I cannot say enough about the staff. They were friendly, efficient, and nice to be with. The entire shop was spotless, including two bathrooms. It is very convenient to have breakfast and order a sandwich to go for lunch on the boat. I wish I had some of that extraordinary coffee right now. We’ll make this a certain stop every time we visit Smith Mountain Lake.

Horrible service. Ordered a frozen latte along with a sandwich. The sandwich came out in reasonable time and was actual very good. However, my “frozen” latte not only took 20 minutes to prepare but was the worst excuse for a coffee and tastes absolutely disgusting. Wasn’t even frozen and might as well been an iced coffee. At this point I would just like my money back and the girl tried to tell me she couldn’t give me a refund but could make me another one. Eventually she agreed and issued a refund but I will never be going back. The girls who work there should be more focused on making coffees instead of eating and talking about Harry Styles.

Awful service !! With Over Price bagels that are burn, hard and stale so you end up throwing them in the garbage and they charged me 9.84 for 4 bagels!!!
The desserts are burn on the outside and extremely dry inside with no flavor to them and over priced as well,!
Don’t bother placing an order
over the phone because when you get there your order won’t be ready once you get there and you’ll have to give them your order all over again and after having to wait for it your order is incorrectly prepared. They got my order wrong after I repeated back the order to them twice and they lied to me and messed up my order.
So if you like getting ripped off and getting overprice pastries, bagels and having them mess up your order this is the place to go!! So Save your money and go down the road to Kroger’s you can get better bagels pastries!! For half the money that taste BETTER!

Yummy sandwiches. Good service. Great view. Chips are the only side dish....but lots of mouth watering baked goods! The apple cinnamon coffee cake was delicious.

Stopped in for breakfast with my toddler and mother-in-law. We had breakfast wraps and coffee. The food was very good quality and came out quickly. The coffee was amazing!! Wonderful view and very cozy cafe area! Must see when at the lake!

Excellent experience. 1st visit. Great service, very friendly service, clean, well stocked menu selections. Enjoyed the back porch dining. Highly recommend.

I went for breakfast. Great coffee and I loved the hot spiced cider. If you aren't a big breakfast person, but just want a little sonething, this is the place. Bagel sandwiches and wraps are delicious. Nice lake view. Outdoor dining also and room for larger groups. Friendly, welcoming staff.
