The baked goods are wonderful! I typically drink Coffee Lattes and The Mountain Fog - Earl Grey, Milk + Vanilla Syrup - is my new favorite drink. (The coffee they use is locally roasted so an added plus they support local businesses.) :)

Primitive cafe is a must stop on the Parkway! My wife and I stopped and got lattes, lemon Danish, and poppyseed scone. Everything was delicious and so reasonably priced! Even better? The service! What a great, kind team, thank you for a wonderful stop on our road trip.

Best cortado I have ever had, no exaggeration. I had the crow bag dark roast with oat milk. (Don't remember the exact name)
The atmosphere was very nice and the barista was laid back and friendly, I didn't catch her name but she is from Orlando. She really put her foot in it (pardon the expression)
I would come back to Meadows of Dan for the beautiful mountain view, but also to get more of this coffee

This place rates 10 out of 10 in every way: the friendliness and genuineness of the folks who work there, the coffee drinks are fantastic (I haven’t tried any of their teas yet), the pastries are delicious, and they have some really unique gifts for sale. While traveling the parkway, I recommend you stop by this cute and quant place for a visit.
