What a wonderful cafe! Visiting family nearby and I'm jealous they have such a great place down the road. I read the review saying the coffee was overpriced - guess they don't have much experience with coffee shops. The prices were quite normal. Everything was great during both visits, including the coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. The people of Lovettsville are lucky Back Street Brew!

Another place to visit each time I come to Lovettsville. Great specialty coffee and lemonades, and pastries to compliment your choice of drink. The sandwiches on croissants are delicious for a quick lunch

Amazing ice cream. Great sandwiches. Super friendly crew Perfect stop in the middle of the grueling gravel bike ride. A great addition to a list of my favorite places to stop for a bite. Loved the support Ukraine flags.

10/10. We've been coming here since they opened and it's not just about the quality of their drinks and food, but it's more so about the quality of their service and sense of community. For example, today my kid wouldn't go inside and would only play in the rocks. The owner happened to be outside and saw my divided attention and took my order on the porch and made it happen so I could be outside with my kid. Now that I think about it maybe she just don't want my Wild Child inside!

Love this Eclectic Coffee Shop
We stumbled on Back Street Brews Coffee and Tea House while exploring small, historic towns in Northern Virginia . Man, what a treat. The coffee is great, so are the homemade pastries. The shop is definitely eclectic in every way, not fancy. The owner and staff have a lot of personality, friendly and entertaining. We will go out of our way to go back at every opportunity.

Maureen and her staff do amazing work! Hands down one of the best coffee shops/small businesses I've ever visited. Everyone is a VIP, the food is amazing; whether it's something sweet or savory, and there are a plethora of coffee drinks to choose from. I give Back Street Brews the highest of recommendations and encourage you to visit if you have not done so already. You will not be disappointed.

As a Local I try to support local business, I have been to this establishment 3 times in the last 2 months, as much as they are very nice people, I wont be returning anytime soon
1 the coffee is terrible and either poor quality or poorly made
2 overall its Very overpriced.
Purchased a latte with extra shot, cup was only 3/4 full, and honestly was Not drinkable. 6$ + is not reasonable for a coffee. even worse when I have to throw it out and make my own at home.
Please do better
