Very nice staff & great pulled pork.

I've traveled to cafes through 49 states, and this is my favorite. It is simple and welcoming. Everything we had was the best and made in-house. That included two cold brew iced coffees, a bacon and egg breakfast plate (at 3pm on a Tuesday, Bravo!!!), a chicken gluten-free Rueben, and an original Reuben. The eggs, ordered over-hard, came off the grill with wonderfully nostalgic crispy edges, and the bacon was meaty, smoky and crispy.
For a small coffee shop their wide range of dishes, from blueberry pancakes to huevos rancheros, to bagels and lox, to shrimp and grits, Southern-style pulled pork barbeque, and chopped salad with several homemade dressings. There are several choices for Vegans/ Vegetarians. They bake their own cinnamon rolls, brownies, scones, cookies and muffins. Their drinks cover the map of expressos, real fruit smoothies, and a huge choice of homemade Frappes in imaginative flavors.
The atmosphere is funky-youthful modern, with graffiti panels, a sticker wall, posters, and other artwork. The crew are a refreshing artsy bunch, who know their food, and offer friendly, helpful, and fast customer service. My group kept changing things, and asking for special mods, and the team handled all with smiles. So pleasant to have a lively, happy group in a small cafe these days. They like and welcome the quirks of all tourists, in a way many southern businesses can't quite manage.
Highly recommended for food, drink, and atmosphere, in the funky Blue Ridge Mountain town of Damascus, which draws bicycle riders from around the world due to the 36 mile Virginia Creeper bike/hike trail that goes right through the middle of the town (so does the Appalachian Trail. btw).

Relaxed hiker atmosphere, quick service with filling food. Some signs say they stop serving at 5, but the doors are open to 9. Also, good WiFi.

Whether you're wanting breakfast, lunch or supper MoJo's has it for you. Or just stop by for a quick snack, dessert or coffee. John and his staff are the very best in the High Country.

O My God!!!! An absolute "must stop" in Damascus!! The food, the amazing owners and staff, the memorial to the former owner(on your right as you goto the restrooms).
Great people, atmosphere and food!!! Come enjoy it yourself!!
(~25mins off i-81 on US58 Eastbound, i didnt see any semi truck parking, but semi traffic does pass thru town, tho, not advised!)
(The Biscuits and Gravy(tastes like a flour base, excellent flavor-ima foodie, spoiled on "keto cream based" gravies, but this is a definite 10/10 on flour gravies!), breakfast sandwiches, eggs, perfectly crisp bacon!)

I had the shrimp and grits after a trip down the Creeper, and it was excellent. I wouldn't call them "low country." They were more like New Orleans or Cajun style, with plenty of heat. I will definitely eat here again my next time in town.

4 to 5 star food at this place. Do not let the exterior of this establishment fool you. Came in thinking I was going to get a sandwich or burger. They do have them but decided to splurge on grilled pork with mashed and root vegetables. Oh my goodness, the display was impeccable and the taste was in line with the big city. Hard to believe they are working at this level in their small kitchen. Don’t pass this one by, going there for breakfast in the morning.
