Don't let the small outside fool you, they have plenty of seating space inside. Have some patience waiting for the food, it's not fast food! As for the food...I'd say a decent first visit. The shrimp is creole sauce was good. The beef and cheese empanada was really good, I just wish it was filled a little more. My family wasn't too thrilled with the "garlic chicken" (dry and cold), and the mofongo was good but the meat was a little hard. Having said that, I'd go back again and try some other items for sure and maybe adjust the star rating.

Amazing quality, flavor, friendliest staff, and clean place to eat. Service can be super fast or slow, depending on how busy it gets, but I can clearly see why it gets packed sometimes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Puerto Rican food.

We are Regulars at the Puerto Rican, bakery and Café normally and usually are very happy with the food but we stopped in for lunch and my husband and I ordered Cuban sandwiches. The sandwiches weren’t pressed, were cold and the sandwich fixings were not proportionate to the bread size. my husband had one bite that just had a pickle, I thought this was unusual but in talking to my daughter who had stopped in the week before for a Cuban she had the same experience. Previously, we were very happy with the sandwiches. So hopefully they fix this problem.

The staff were friendly and nice to deal with. The food was so-so, a little too oily and greasy for us. The dessert we had was good though. Will probably go back and try something else.

I have been looking for a Puerto Rican restaurant ever since I moved here from N.Y., when my son told me about this place, I drove from Richmond to try it out, and it did not disappoint!!, people here think Mexican and Puerto Rican food is the same,, IT IS NOT!!. I loved the food, I’m thinking about taking the drive today to get me some more. It is definitely worth it ☺️☺️☺️

Garlic Chicken
A must try

Not a fast food restaurant, yes it's true because they dedicate that time to make it right and serve it hot.

I ordered food last year and was not impressed. I gave them another try and the food was very good delicious. I ordered food yesterday 02-02-23 and the rice and peas was dry. The roast pork was dry and the beans was tasteless. Never again.

Food was just ok. Rice was hard and tasted reheated. Beans lacked flavor. Roasted potatoes pork had a garlic sauce which was a little off putting and frankly not needed.
