I absolutely LOVED this coffee shop. It is very inviting with modern decor and a positive atmosphere. The owner takes pride on creating the best coffee blends. I had a Cortado with oat milk and though it had no sugar, the flavor and boldness were so rich that it didn't need anything else! I also love the small gift shop area and countless signs to show appreciation for our military. The pastries are also really good, with a selection of breakfast sandwiches and other goodies. You can see patriotism, passion to provide the best customer experience, and quality to make you come back to Grant, not Starbucks! I also appreciate the hours of operation, so you can get here as early as 6:00 AM... The owner gotta be a former military member!

Love this place! The coffee is solid and it's family-friendly. The staff is really nice and the place is always clean. The food isn't great but they are good about adjusting an order if they can and will try to make it right. You can tell they really care and that counts for a lot. Glad this place is in the community!

Enjoyed visiting this cool place, cold brew, warm scones, and fun part of town for strolling. Even have toys for the wee ones. Short walk to the new Perkinson Art Center and library. Had arts and crafts in the park on this Saturday afternoon. Worth a visit.

I did not like their coffee. I go to a lot of different coffee shops but something about my marshmallow latte tasted absolutely artificial. The croissant we ordered was cold... The atmosphere is depressing as well as the service. No one seems happy to be there.
Update from my response earlier this morning... There was no management, I did as, the young lady at the counter said management was out. We visited in the afternoon shortly before closing. The music was dull and bland. It was recommended for me to try your coffee shop from the owners of my local coffee shop in New Kent, who had very nice things to say about your coffee.
I think you need to learn to listen to your customers instead of nasty, unprofessional, snarky responses. Things can't be perfect all the time, the army should have taught you that at the very least.

Stopped here for a sandwich and coffee on my way to NC. 100% recommend to take that 10 min detour. Coffee was good, chicken salad sandwich on jalapeño bagel was great and the service was amazing. Wish I took a picture but it was gone so fast.

Grant Coffee Company has the best coffee I’ve had in the area! I like supporting small businesses, and it feels even better supporting a veteran-owned business! Don’t just try the coffee, you must also order a peanut butter donut and a warmed cinnamon roll! Everything here is so tasty! This place won’t disappoint!

Such a wondeful first time experience! The owner is a great guy even offered samples of their house cold brew so I could make sure I liked the before ordering. I ended up ordering the beach bum cold brew and their southern chicken salad sandwich. Both were delicious! 10/10 cant wait for my next visit!

Great atmosphere, clean, great coffee and competitive prices. Year round Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Love that they are looking into adding Military Discounts. Only con is that they close so early, still merits 5 stars. I am wanting to open a coffee shop when I retire from the Army and opening up a place half as good as this one is a success in my book. Will come back again.

This is my third favorite coffee shop in the Richmond area. I include Mechanicsville and Tri-cities into that area for reference. The coffee is great and the peanut butter mocha is amazing. The staff is great here as well. The croissants are out of this world. Love this place!

I had a black coffee and a sausage, egg and cheese croissant. Coffee was good. Croissant was a sloppy mess of institutional grade egg and sausage, nuked to oblivion in the microwave. Definitely reminded me of my time in service. 😅
Beat Army.
I’m not “using your company as a platform for jokes” Your food is bad and I regret eating it. This interaction gives me zero faith that a complaint to a manager would be handled appropriately.
Try one yourself and tell me that’s how it’s supposed to be and how much you love soggy croissants, dude.
