Duck Donuts

Delicious donuts and reasonably priced for what you get!!! Cashier was kind and patient. The folks creating the donuts lack a sense of enjoyment in what they do and not great at communicating with customers. Ignoring customer service, this place is fantastic! I'm so happy DD opened another Hampton Roads location!

This donut shop is always on point. Worth the drive, but best eaten hot. If you're feeling exceptionally calorie care free, the donut breakfast sandwich is pretty amazing. Highly recommend the bacon maple!

If you have never been to Duck Donuts you are in for a treat. They only make one kind of cake donut but you can choose any glaze, drizzle and topping you want. The donuts are warm and delicious and they always have seasonal toppings available along with there standards. One of my favorites is a lemon glaze with blueberry drizzle. The donuts are excellent and always made hot to order.

Arguably the best donuts in town. The owner was very friendly and gave us a sample since it was our first time in the shop. The donuts couldn’t have been any fresher since they got made while we were there. My wife has a very refined donut palate and she absolutely loved them — she ate two (that I saw) which is ok because she goes all week watching what she eats and exercising and if she wants to indulge every once in a while it’s ok and why do I have to write this stuff on a Google review for everyone to see! I like the plain cake donut.

The best donuts and friendly workers. I highly recommend them for large orders too, they were able to get 4 dozen donuts ready for pick up right when they opened with about a days notice. My only wish is that they were big enough to have some kind of seating inside or out, they do not at this location.

I was in there today (5-23-20), at about 2:00 PM, not more than half an hour ago, and I have to say my interaction with the staff was not good, and that’s being kind. I ordered a half dozen donuts, but did not specify what ones I wanted right away. So the cashier takes my payment and I go over to the area where they prepare the donuts. It seemed like it was more like social hour than a business, with them ignoring us the whole time, chatting back and forth amongst themselves, not even bothering to speak or ask what we wanted. They finally started to make the donuts and I tried to request certain ones and the girl behind the counter tells me it’s not their policy to let the customer pick what they want. WHAT?!? So, I say well, I paid for them, so I should get the ones I want. Then the cashier pipes up and says that I ordered “assorted”, which wasn’t the case. I replied I did not. So the young man behind the counter was gracious enough to ask what we wanted and I told him, while the rude one walked off and didn’t even offer an apology or help him get the order ready, presumably to go continue socializing with the rest of this ill-mannered group. Meanwhile, an older lady, who I guess might be the manager, is oblivious to everything taking place and is walking around with a mask 😷 dangling off her ear and doesn’t even bother to ask what’s going on because she herself is too busy in the back yakking to the staff to be bothered. Everyone was rude and unwelcoming, with the exception of the young black kid making our order. I thought this was going to be our go-to donut place, since I had been there before and the service was way better. But I guess not. Maybe don’t hire so many young immature people?

I love the staff, always helpful and ready and willing to share their favorite donuts and personal donut creations! We always have a good chat while they make my donuts. Only problem is I get donuts a lot more often now!

Wife and kids were not fans. Tasted too much like cake batter. Not saying the establishment is bad. Ordered, made from scratch donuts and picked order up within 5 minutes! Just not what my family was looking for. Thanks for the good service.

It's original founder in North Carolina but I had them in Virginia. My cousin took us here and I fell in love with the donuts. Freshly baked donuts made to order. Try the the ones with bacon on top. Great flavor! I had to bring some to NYC because, surprisingly, there's none here yet. Unless I franchise? Hehe why not!
