Lone Light Coffee

Super yummy pies and coffee! Great service.

This is hands down one if the best coffee shops in Charlottesville. While their menu is a bit limited (several drinks are only available in the smallest size), their coffee is brewed with the utmost care and thought. The store has an interesting atmosphere, mostly because of the plethora of pie related decor, but it looks quite appealing overall. Another advantage of Lone Light is their locality. While many people that work on the nearby downtown mall get their coffee at Lone Light, the quaint nature of this establishment means that most non-locals wouldn't think to stop there. The final thing that contributed to my five star rating is the friendliness of the staff. They are all rather genuine people who make every interaction pleasant. An excellent business that should be a staple of every townsperson.

Some of the best coffee in Cville served up by two of the best baristas in the area. Attention to detail is there 100% They pour sick latte art as well. If you're near the downtown mall this is the place to get coffee.

They have pies too. I'm sure they're great.

This is from a singular experience, but I had the perpermint mocha with oat milk subbed and it's the best coffee I've had this semester by a good bit, perhaps a coffee to rival the famous mocha of Shenendoah Joe's.

Wonderful place with great homemade syrups, chai, and almond milk. Great selection and yummy baked goods too.

Really nice folks that were patient and friendly with me! Hung out for a while because I needed a place to wait. Cozy and welcoming. Also, my vanilla latte was delicious—As well as pretty to look at.

Lone Light without a doubt has not only upped the coffee offering on the downtown mall, but also in Charlottesville. Wes knows the art of coffee and it shows in every shot of espresso he pulls. You won't go wrong if you stop in here -- try the house made almond milk or chai. I promise, you'll keep coming back for more of Lone Light Coffee!

These guys roast their own coffee, have a great aesthetic, and are all around all-stars. Their matcha lattes are the best that Cville has to offer
