Sugar & Bean Cafe

There are few gems in our community as fine as Sugar and Bean. I love taking my kids here. We usually have the upstairs room to ourselves where we play board games. Has a real cozy feel. The food is great, my daughter loves the breakfast sandwiches (begs me to make it at home but I can't). Seems odd that a few reviewers said rude staff, perhaps those reviewers did not actually eat the breakfast sandwich? I did not encounter any rude staff at all--quite the opposite actually. Food came quickly, I was treated respectfully and even my kids were treated with dignity (I make them order their own food at restaurants so they learn to talk to adults).

If you want a coffee shop with a cozy community feel, the type of place where they know who you are (because they live in our community), stop by Sugar and Bean.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops! I wish I lived closer to it. It is one of the coziest and it is by far the best for studying (Bridgewater Coffee is also good, but not as good for work/study). They have lots of space and quiet areas upstairs, along with plenty of delicious food and healthy options. Friendly staff, good coffee, overall 5/5.

Very cute and quaint atmosphere! Food was tasty as well! Unfortunately the few times I’ve visited either my order or my friend’s had been wrong in some way or took a very long time to get to our table. After having been in the restaurant business, I expected staff to be more welcoming and helpful than I’ve experienced as well. Maybe these issues have been tweaked by now? Small businesses have to start somewhere :)

Gracious, friendly staff that are super helpful. I am impressed by how they have followed all COVID protocols -- I have felt safe ordering here throughout the pandemic.The food is delicious and fresh, and my mouth is watering thinking about the bourbon truffles and those little cheesecake tarts. They have done a fabulous job renovating the old building and keeping its historic character. My favorite restaurant around here!

If you're looking for a cute little coffee spot with good food and great customer service, well, you've found it! I've ordered online and over the phone for pick up, as well as eaten in the cafe. All experiences were wonderful! There was even an occasion where I called to place an order and because they were busy, they weren't able to get to the phone. I did not leave a message but they still called me back to see if they could be of help. What other place does that??? I absolutely love having Sugar and Bean Cafe right down the road from me and will continue to support this amazing business!

I LOVE this place! The Wildwood sandwich is my favorite, it’s delicious and so unique, and I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the staff. They are all incredibly polite and even when they’re busy they do their best to make sure everything is correct. This is probably one of my favorite places in the local area to stop in for lunch or meet with friends and family to grab a coffee and grab a rosemary cookie or piece of pie!

I have never written a review before, but after being a regular at Sugar and Bean for a long time now, I figured it was about time to share with everyone how great this place is!
The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is divine (the wildwood comes highly recommended!), and the atmosphere makes it worth driving out of my way to sit, relax and chat with friends. I always look forward to my weekly cafe trips!

Despite opening just a few months prior to a global pandemic, Sugar & Bean was fantastic! The latte I ordered (Butterbeer special) was incredible and tasted just like the real thing. The Holly Hill sandwich was very good, warm and toasty with just the right amount of rosemary. I quite enjoyed the orange bar, which was very good for a gluten free treat. The staff is incredibly nice, the service is fast, and the building itself is beautiful. I will definitely be returning!

The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. Will be going again!

I am a coffee connoisseur and I am picky - BUT this place is outstanding. The girls who own/work here are so sweet and helpful. It's a very friendly and inviting atmosphere. Check it out!!
