My favorite place to eat when I'm in the area.
It may appear to be like a "tea" room but it is anything but finger sandwiches. Come hungry, you'll be very happy when you leave.
My husband & I walked away FULL. The burger is not on the menu but ask for it. I will say it is The BEST burger we've had in a long time. My friends have had the chicken salad on lettuce, best they had...almost a great as mom's.
My husband is a coffee drinker, he had three cups & could have enjoyed several more if it wasn't time for us to leave.
Eating inside is a bit noisy but there are 3 separate indoor dining areas & a lovely outdoor patio area.
Service was quick, pleasant & educated on the products being serviced.

Great spot!!! We're in town for the Yeti 100 and glad we stopped here to eat. I got the Mocha coffee and it was amazing! I love having healthy options when I'm traveling. This coffee bar has so much character. It's a MUST GO TO if you're in the area. (Hugh even caught me taking pics. See if you can find him.) 😁

We stopped by midday for iced coffee and treats. We were so pleased with everything. I didn't know it was a restaurant as well, so next trip in to town, we will definitely be coming back. I love the brand image for so many reasons. You have to go in that place to witness how amazing everything is from the drinks to the vibe, the layout, the super kind, and helpful ppl working it truly are. If you're close, do NOT pass this place up. Thanks for the road trip treats 🫶

Perhaps the best coffee house I’ve ever been to! They roast their beans perfectly and serve up a delicious array of specialty coffees, lattes and more. Wonderful selection of pastries, scones, muffins. Great ambiance.

We happened upon this place and boy we weren’t disappointed! We ordered coffee and our boys had fresh squeezed orange juice. Yes it is very family friendly! My coffee of choice was a cappuccino while my husband had a regular drip coffee. The coffee was out of this world. The food was equally as impressive. The biggest and fluffiest biscuits with eggs and bacon and don’t get me started on the cheesy grits. Wow! My son said “wow, I have had a lot of biscuits and these are the best!” I also had granola with yogurt and fruit. It was wonderfully flavorful. We ordered coffees to go and they were just the right temperature. Hot but not too hot. The owner made his way around and was more than happy to talk about the coffee shop and was interested in where we were from too etc. The staff was very helpful and attentive! We ended up going two days in a row! We will be back!!!!

We enjoyed a truly memorable dining experience at The Girl and the Raven. All of the employees with whom we interacted were personable, competent, and seemed to really enjoy working here. All of the components of our breakfast were scrumptious, especially the hash brown casserole (with a hint of cardamom?). The coffee is roasted in-house and the fresh-squeezed juice concoctions are all creative and superb. If you're ever in Abingdon, you should not pass up this hidden gem.

What a great find! Lovely indoor and outdoor spaces. Lots of personality. Great staff. Excellent service. Tasty food. They even have gluten free bread and pastries. They should advertise that. We will be back!

Went for brunch on a Saturday in December with a party of 5. After a short wait, they gave us a premium seat in front of a festively decorated mantle. The food was great, the atmosphere delightful and unique, and the staff friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend. Their outdoor seating looks fun too including a woodburning fire pit.

What a great way to start the day in Abingdon. The latte was delicious, brekkie options were great and they can customize depending on what you like. The biscuit was probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had. They definitely go the extra mile service wise. We went two different days, and the owner greeted us both times. Prices are very reasonable, specially for the portion size. Food was as fresh as it gets. They have blue corn grits. This was our “fuel” breakfast to ride the Creeper Trail later on.
