Probably one of the best breakfast places in the state, and they do great lunches as well. We like the specials, e.g. they do a great job on Eggs Benedict variants. I generally prefer breakfast, but their Cobb salad for lunch has always been super-fresh. And of course you can't ignore the pies, I think we buy 2 for every holiday!!

Always delicious and friendly. Love love love their Egg Benedict, they'll make if vegetarian. My husband gets the Rochester, which is like a hungry man breakfast. Kids love the pancake and French toast and the country store. We go every year when we camp in the area.

BLT on white Not Toasted

Bread was dried out HARD STALE EDGES
Bacon was rubbery /undercooked
You should dress up the serving with a few “chips” and a pickle. Pretty plain and disappointing for the $$

The minestrone soup was “OUTSTANDING”

Great food, service and atmosphere. The tuna melt and squash soup was excellent. Chocolate and cappuccino pie was excellent without being too sweet. The chicken wrap was also good. Wonderful place!

Their strawberry rhubard pie was absolutely phenomenal. The crust was definitely home made and the pie itself was not too sweet. They also had Giffords ice cream and the chocolate was really thick and creamy. Would definitely recommend!

First time eating at this place. Food was very delicious!!! Didn't have to wait that long for the food, after we placed our order. Good customer service as well. I will DEFINITELY come back to eat, when I'm in the Vermont area again!!!

Stopped because we were starving and grabbed one of the best sandwiches we’ve had in a while. Staff is great! Was too warm inside to eat (late September warm spell) no ac or it couldn’t keep up, seats outside were full so we took it to go.

I’m actually in NYC right now, sitting at a posh restaurant talking about how great The Rochester Cafe is! So I thought I should tell you. Year after year this well stocked delicious cafe remains consistent in its quality of food, and charming atmosphere. It keeps up with the changing times and tastes, has great cappuccinos and deserts, to top off a great burger, fresh sandwich specials. And dare I say it, milkshakes!!!!! Old school charm with sophisticated choices. I must say that the owners, Tim and Sue somehow keep this adorable Café spotless, and run it like a well oiled machine. Go! Eat! Become a part of the Rochester Café family. We’re on our 30th year! LOVE!

Wonderful locally made fresh food in a friendly, local atmosphere. The wait staff was great. Eggs bennie every day, canadian bacon, homemade corn beef hash, great pancakes and waffles with real Vermont maple syrup. Homemade baked goods including an extraordinary strawberry rhubarb pie. We stuck to breakfast three consecutive days, but I am sure that lunch is just as good. Local Vermont products available in the quaint gift shop.

Rochester cafe is one of my favorite places on Earth. A few reasons: scrumptious pies, unique sandwiches, dependably delicious menu standbys, daily specials for variety, cozy atmosphere, lovely people. If you are lucky enough to visit Rochester, don't miss it!
