Cozy environment/homely. I had French toast with home fries and it was perfect! My son had pancakes and said Vermont makes the best! Daughter had blueberries oatmeal she said it was great. 5 stars for food and environment, 4 stars because no freah oj or fresh fruit

This bakery had been around for more than a decade. My family has stopped here for bread, sandwiches and drinks for many years. The service is great, the decor is very Vermont, and it is the highlight of town, in this out-of-towner's opinion.

I too just experienced a huge lack of Covid precautions being inforced. I ordered a sandwich and sat there to wait for it. About 2 minutes later, one of there workers came out with a tray of baked goods to put in the glass display case out front. Her mask was under her chin. She wasnt wearing gloves. And worst part about it was I actually saw her cough right on the second to last baked good she put in the case. Ugh!!! I was mortified. I did find out the guy in the back was makeing my sandwich. And the women at the front desk did say she was going to say something to her. But she didn't take the food out of the case to discard them. She left them in there. The only reason I'm giving them a 2 instead of a 1 star, is that there food is really good. I wasn't going to post at all. But just today I saw two local restaurants within close proximity shut down today because there staff members were directly exposed to covid recently. If you go there. Make sure everything is freshly prepared and ask questions. Make sure the staff is taking care of business. Personally, right now I wouldn't eat there. Maybe after covid is over I would. Sorry to the owners, but please educate your staff and make sure they are all following the guidelines.

Delicious and freshly prepared breakfast and lunch! The in-house baked breads are a favorite of our household, as are the bakery items.
Friendly staff, impeccably clean, and great coffee!

If your travels ever bring you to Proctorsville this is a fantastic place to grab a little lunch and a hot drink. The bakery also has fantastic breads. This is definitely a small mom-pop place but that's why you come to Vermont right!

One of the best breakfasts I've had in some time with quick service and good coffee. I really appreciated the cozy atmosphere inside, it was perfect for watching the snow pile up in the streets.

My favorite little cafe/bakery in Vermont. Very delicious, friendly and peaceful, in a beautiful setting. Would have loved to live nearby so I could eat breakfast there every day.

We found this place when doing an outdoor antique show down the street. Great coffee, and I highly recommend the black crow cobb salad and the soup veggie chowder and butternut were both great.
Great service during this tough time.

All the reviews are right on! Amazingly though, no mentioned a word about their cheeze danish pastries which are to die for. I just ordered 1/2 dozen and will drive up from Connecticut to get my "little piece of heaven".

Don’t go if you have any concerns about COVID-19 safety protocols. Staff members wore their masks about 50% of the time, and did not enforce mask wearing requirement among patrons (sign on door says masks required). We also waited over 40 min after calling ahead and being told we’d have a 20-min wait for 2 egg sandwiches. Ended up leaving without our food because we decided it wasn’t worth risking COVID exposure for breakfast.
