Food was good, and the options out here are limited. The building is older, and had a very distinct odor, somewhat musty, so if that bothers you, you'd best stay away.
We enjoyed our meal, and will return the next time we visit!

the most delicious moist rueben sandwhich that I have ever eaten, The potato salad was good and the Mash Potatoes had dill which was diffrent, I wouldnt eat them a lot but they are good, Service was great, The menu was small but thats okay because its good

The best German food in Utah.
This is true home cooked food just like Oma did it. They even bake their own Mischbrot. It's worth the 2 hour drive from Salt Lake just to eat lunch there. If you combine that with driving along the Nebo Loop, Skyline Drive or Maple Canyon, you get a glimpse of some of the best that Utah has to offer.

This tiny German cafe in Spring City is one of the finest in all of Utah. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, closes at 3. Their breakfasts are hearty, homemade and delicious. The toast is mouthwatering, especially if you choose Opa's homemade bread. The Saturday specials, especially the goulash, are worth driving two hours for. Their handmade sauerkraut is divine, and does contain lean chopped bits of meat, as do the potatoes. They are also famous for their steaming cup of "Mormon Mocha", made with Pero and real chocolate, no coffee. You can eat gluten free, though you'll cry over everyone's breads and Carrot or Nutella cake. You will have a difficult time coming up with a vegan meal. My friends enjoy and recommend their brats and potato salad. I just stuff myself with sauerkraut, eggs and potatoes, with some fresh fruit, every time.

Best rueben I have ever had. Also, their carrot cake is delicious. Normally I really don’t like carrot cake, but this was good.

Consistently great food! Limited menu, but they're all winners. Also consistently crowded with wait times to be seated and to get your food on the weekend. Plan accordingly.

10 stars! I love this little German restaurant. Carrot cake and potato salad is a favorite. I would love to try their breakfast sometime.

This German Cafe is a fairly small venue, however, the food is good. Choices are minimal, and wait time was pretty long. Worth checking out if you are passing through!
