I don't know what the secret is, but this place is just phenomenal. I only go here so often, but I am surprised every time by the quality of the food, and just the general atmosphere that comes with it. If the food is not authentic German, it's the closest you'll get to authentic in Utah. Highly recommend the place!

Loved this cute little German cafe. They keep the food super simple so I was disappointed there wasn’t any chicken schnitzel or fondue. But the Reuben sandwich was good. And if you like brats the brats dinner was good. The best part was their homemade Sauerkraut.

We had the bratwurst dinner and the Ruben sandwich. Both were amazing! The sauerkraut is the best i have ever had and the horseradish and dill gravy on the potatoes is amazing!

I had been going to Das Cafe off and on ever since they opened. There has been some inconsistency (to be expected), but a few months ago, almost everything I ordered was not right.
They skimped the Reuben of enough meat, I got weird white lumps in my carrot cake (batter not stirred enough?) and its texture was off, and the potato salad was the worst (bland and sloppy).
I informed them of my very poor experience, and her/his unsatisfactory response was enough to taint Das Cafe for all time for me. Somebody needs to take a class in giving good customer service.

The best food in San Pete.

I used to live in Spring City and grew up with the Shcroders. They are a great family! The food is amazing. The service is great. We live in Salt Lake and only come down every so often and always try to stop by, the potato salad is delicious!!!! Don't leave without trying it. They let us by a huge tub once. Totally worth the price. We love to support them and tell all our friends to stop by. Wish they had a little merch shop online or something so we could get some vinyl stickers. I'd totally wear a Das hat and sweater, or shirt, or pin, and I definitely need another sticker for my car and my water bottle. You guys are amazing. Please keep selling me your delicious potato salad. ❤❤❤

We enjoy experiencing different cultural foods with our kids. Das Café has become a family favorite. The cafe was clean and quaintly decorated. The food was delicious and authentic. The servers and staff were friendly and attentive. A must-try destination for anyone who enjoys German food, and a fun environment.

Some of the best food you'll find in the state. This is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. Be prepared for a long wait and you won't be disappointed. Everything on the menu is super good, you can't go wrong.
