The atmosphere is nice, there was classical music playing while I was there. If you are like me and enjoy tasting the actual espresso, then definitely come here. If you are a frappuccino fan, while there is nothing wrong with that, don't bother coming here. I am anticipating future visits to try out their drip coffee and bubble teas.

I really appreciate the rejection of the “customer is always right” ethos. Go to this place to be educated about the way coffee should be, not to have your pre-existing corporate-influenced preferences pandered to. Considering the total package of quality, artisanal integrity, and free coffee lessons included with purchase, this is probably my favorite coffee shop nationwide.

Milk tea was as good as any other milk tea I've had. And they were out of coffee cubes or just didn't have them or something at noon on a Thursday. Coffee was fine. Wasn't anything spectacular. I say don't go out of your way for this place. And if you're nearby just head over to Mill Creek Roaster for better coffee and a laid-back, less pretentious place to enjoy coffee.

I have been to this coffee shop every time I am in Salt Lake and I believe it to be the best coffee I have ever had. Anyone who enjoys a good cup should order a siphon, this is not a grab and go order but a nice 30-45 min experience. There is also fantastic esspresso drinks and bubble tea if you don't have the time for a siphion.

I love coffee, and this place was definitely a good. I tried the siphin coffee. It was a cool experience. I wouldn't do it again because it is pricey, but worth it once for the experience. The espresso was awesome! The owner definitely loves what he does

Caffe D'Bolla is one of the best places I've ever had a latte. Asked for a six-ounce latte and they were happy to accommodate me. The flavor was exquisite and we bought a freshly roasted batch of beans to take home. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It's the kind of place you will want to come back to again and again. We drink a lot of espresso, and this place is the best in SLC.

I'm a pretentious, insufferable, effete coffee snob from San Francisco. I know the differences among Blue Bottle, Ritual, Stumptown, Sightglass, Reveille, and Illy. And to my surprise, the best espresso I've ever had in North America is from Cafe d'Bolla in Salt Lake City. Perfect balance of flavors, without any of the burnt or sour notes that frequently mar the better known chains. The owner knows more about coffee than anyone I've ever met, and is happy to share if the place isn't too busy. If you want a simple cup of joe, go elsewhere. If you'd like to linger over a remarkable espresso as you might over a great glass of wine, come to Cafe d'Bolla, a SLC hidden gem.

Heard about this place in the "100 Things To Do in Salt Lake City Before You Die" book. Had a very nice latte and a good conversation with the owner. The shop is intimate and a nice place to work. Highly recommend!
