The coffee here is simply amazing. If you have time, plan about 45 minutes for the siphon coffee. It's a small shop, the owner roasts all the coffee himself and makes all the drinks. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and is more than happy to take the time to answer any and all questions. He really knows his stuff. The boba tea and espresso is also ridiculously delicious. It has a very serene atmosphere, and I love the classical music that is always playing.

I went here a few years ago and can't get the experience out of my head. I ordered an espresso, and when the barista served it, he said, "this week's espresso is called 'wheres the peanut butter,' it has tasting notes of..." And broke down the flavor profile of the pull. It was the single greatest espresso I've ever sipped. I need to go back.

Hands down the best coffee I've ever had. I feel like I have stepped into a whole new universe of taste. I never knew coffee could have so much depth. The lady who gave him a bad review can go get her Carmel soy latte at Starbucks. She doesn't deserve to partake in this art.

It doesn't matter how good you think your coffee is, being respectful and polite is a priceless trait in any business. The owner of this cafe feels the need to indoctrinate his customers on his "proper" way to drink coffee from sizes and to go cups and will lecture you about the superiority of siphon brewing.
To be clear I've worked in specialty coffee for years in San Francisco where some of the BEST coffee is roasted and prepared in the United States. The best cafes and roastaries are kind and thoughtful about their approach to educating the customer about the complexities and wonders of coffee without belittling or making them feel dumb.
Do yourself a favor and go to Campos Coffee Roastery up the street. You'll find MUCH better coffee and a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

I love coffee. This is hands down the best I've ever had. The owner John has roasted for 10 years, and he uses a fancy profiling machine that analyzes the color of the beans while roasting in real time. All coffee beans are single-origin. They get new espresso beans every week, and they never repeat! I overheard him saying it's because he once tried to create a flavor profile for a roast, but it was boring. He prefers to work with each batch to exemplify the existing flavors instead of trying to make it what he wants it to be. There's my coffee-fueled review. Enjoy :-)

NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER HAD TO PAY $20 FOR A SINGLE CUP OF COFFEE. His prices for the vacuum pot are not posted, and he wouldn't let me pay until I was done. Then I see that he's charged $20 when every other item on his menu that's espresso based is no more than $7. Outraged doesn't begin to describe it.
The coffee was decent, but it was NOT worth $20.
Not upfront with prices and shady business. There are far better places in the city.

My first experience with bubble tea and it was amazing! I ordered the dark chocolate and it was phenomenal!!

Barista was pretty rude when informing that multiple items were out of stock on the menu. Coffee was okay, but not worth the high price. If you're looking for a relaxed environment where you can drink coffee, sit down, and do some work then this place isn't it.

If you have an hour or so to spare, treat yourself to some of the best coffee you will ever have. It's not cheap, and it's definitely not fast, but it will redefine your coffee standards. Don't ask for a paper cup. There aren't any. Instead, drink from fine Noritake china while you get to know this shop's eccentric owner and appreciate the fact that his taste in coffee is better than yours.

Great coffee, but you can’t get it to go. And then they are rude if you take too long at a table. Big time attitude if you don’t order right, ask the right questions, or are just trying to have a meeting over coffee. If you’re into hip and eccentric, you will love it. Go someplace else for better service and prices.
