This place is a hidden gem! Literally, I've driven past here so many times wondering "What is this Church & State building??" Inside is an open floor plan with tons of comfy seating surrounded by tiny businesses and this little coffee shop.

The drip coffee was absolutely fantastic and they gave me a free refill. I can't wait to bring friends back here and to try their food. Build-your-own toast options galore!

When I came in the employees looked bored and on their phones. It was completely dead.. which is totally a non issue. The issue is my decaf mocha took 30 minutes. THIRTY. I thought maybe they forgot? When I went up I asked about the decaf mocha I ordered and the barista just got mad “ughhh i forgot it’s decaf?!” in a pretty rude tone and didn’t even answer me… this is actually really important, had I not checked, they would’ve given me a regular mocha. I can’t have caffeine, I will be sick all day and up all night if I have it. Decaf has trace amounts but doesn’t make me sick or keep me up. Pay attention. I barely had time to drink it before I had to head home for a meeting. Pointless… should’ve gone anywhere else. They should also add signage outside because I couldn’t find the location at all from the outside. (Picture of how it was delivered to me….)

Awesome coffee, awesome food, awesome pastries. It’s awesome.

This is a really nice, cozy spot with some indoor seating. The coffee is fantastic - they have Wega machines and partnered with Blue Copper for their beans - and the menu is simple enough that it isn’t overwhelming but has just about everything you could reasonably want.

They’ve got fantastic toast, cookies from Ruby Snap, and a bunch of tea as well for those who have the audacity to show up to a coffee shop looking for something other than coffee.

Go here! Tell your friends to go here! You won’t be disappointed, and you’re supporting a great business run by a great guy.

Interesting locations don't make up for poor attitudes and insanely overpriced goods. Had to step over someone passed out on their front steps then payed nearly $12 for an OJ and a tiny little muffin.

Perfect cortado, and both the mushroom toast and the ricotta toast were delicious. Unique space with a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back when we visit Salt Lake again.

I absolutely love cafe juniper! I will ALWAYS order their mocha- you can tell they use real chocolate, because it's not too sweet. The Blue Copper Coffee beans they use for all their drinks are also so smooth. The baristas are friendly and make great menu recommendations if you aren't sure what to get.
I am also a huge fan of their toasts- it's the perfect healthy brunch stop when you don't want to sit down for a heavy meal of bread and sugar. The weekly specials are always delicious, but their regulars are awesome too- they're always packed high with delicious, fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the mushroom toast!
Their pastry selection rotates often, and they have really unique choices like huckleberry scones and lavender donuts. Definitely ask the varista to warm your pastry up- it's so much more delicious!
The space is small, cozy, and intimate, with high bar seating, one 4-person table, and an outdoor two-person table. The warm sunlight coming in through the large storefront windows make the indoor table my favorite place to sit! This establishment also supports and partners with other local SLC businesses- so you'll be supporting multiple local mom and pop shops when you go here.
This is definitely my current go-to coffee spot. ❤️

Eh not very satisfied. Iced latte has no milk In it. I ordered two toasts and a scone to go. $40 and I didn’t even get the scone and didn’t realize till I had left it wasn’t in the bag. Overall bummer paying $40 for 2 coffees and 3 baked goods

I asked the barista to surprise me and the result was one of the most delicious drinks I can remember. I believe it was a latte with lavender? The setting is stellar and prices are reasonable.
