This place is pretty great! I came here on a recommendation I got a while back, took me a while but I finally got to try this place out! I went there for their pour over, but they don't offer it in their menu anymore, a real shame. Their coffee is fantastic though, and they use beans by Blue Copper. I also got toast with my coffee, I asked for a recommendation and it was super good! Great rec, would definitely have this again. The atmosphere of the building is so relaxing and chill, a great place to read or study when it's not too busy. I'd love to try more toast combinations and hope that they officially bring back the pour over.

I’ve never been to their first location but I love love love this one! Beautiful open space with tons of seating, tables, and pleasant ambiance.

Staff is friendly and make delicious AND affordable drinks. Everything I’ve tried is amazing.

Definitely check this place out and support a great local business!

This is a gem hiding in plain sight. I am a huge fan of eggs on toast in any context. Usually it’s kind of just middle of the road even in the best scenarios. But after having the mushroom toast from Juniper I think I have to heighten my standards a bit. The eggs were perfectly folded and fluffy, the mushrooms were nice and soft, and the cheese/yogurt combo were so nice against the chewy sourdough bread. Just a nice little hang out. Tons of baked goods and coffee options too.

This is a neat little place we found while walking around downtown Salt Lake. It was small and simple and the barista was helpful and suggested some great drinks. I got the cold brew with brown sugar and oat milk and really enjoyed it. I didn't try any of their fun toast options, but they sounded great

Located within Church and State. Easily accessible by Trax! Spacious and friendly vibe. Lots of places to sit and relax, enjoy the view of the stained glass windows. Staff are quick and efficient. Had a delicious matcha with oat milk! ☕️

From outside looks weird, but going inside the place is kinda cool. Not so big and spacious, but a curious spot.
Unfortunately, my espresso wasn’t great and that’s why I give only 3 stars.

I can't say enough good things about Cafe Juniper. Church and State is such an incredible community space full of creativity, fun and productivity.

I got an oat milk latte was so beautiful it puts the Sistine chapel to shame.

Hanna and Nick were so fun to chat with and they made the vibe exquisite. Ask Nick to tell you a joke.

I can't wait to come back and try the avocado toast.

IMO, you can't say you had coffee in Salt Lake City until you've gone to Cafe Juniper.

Such a cute place! Definitely not your typical coffee shop. It’s small but it’s welcoming! I was recommended the dirty chai. I’m not a fan of dirty chais but the barista recommended it. I got it and omg, the best dirty chai I’ve ever had! Next time I’m just get the chai! So excited to be back.

The only thing is that they had no vegan pastries. They do have avocado toast though.

Tiny gem of downtown SLC! This cozy nook of a shop has a lovely selection of coffees and accompaniments for the vegan conscious patrons. The pastries and toasts are absolutely delectable! Beautiful artwork. Tristan is always a delight!

My first visit was grabbing a cup of chai ☕🫖 it was so-so. The atmosphere is the best. It's cute and different. Fun place to hang out and chat.
