Older woman seemed to be in charge. We wanted lunch but older woman kept yelling out no lunch for 15 min!! They let us order a bagel with specific ingredients. Long wait first bagel came with 3 extra ingredients and missing one ingredient. Took bagel to counter, older woman wrote down ingredients. Longer wait for next bagel and it arrived with egg which was not ordered and skimpy on other ingredients. Asked to see older woman. After a wait again she appeared and said “so you’re unhappy again…we explained and she said she has a Mexican cook that doesn’t understand English, they don’t take special orders and the eggs were minimal cost as if that made a difference. Luckily no egg allergy. Reluctantly we received a $3 refund. My burrito and the iced tea were great but the attitude was unacceptable to say the least. We were blamed for their missteps. There will be no accountability if the owner responds as we have seen this on other reviews. No response required.

Excellent place! We stopped for late breakfast and loved their bagels and blueberry pancakes!

The fries were good, the burger was ok. The bathroom was disgusting and the floors were dirty. Flies everywhere. Waited forever to order and no one ever came to the gift shop side so we could buy souvenirs. Would never recommend or come back.

I wasnt expecting this place to be this good. If you are driving through the area, I would recommend trying them out. Very tasty, make sure to have their green chili salsa on your scrambled eggs or omelett.

One of my favorite places to eat at- I look forward to it every time we are passing through Monticello.
The food is amazing and fresh, and the atmosphere is so unique and fun! You can pass the time while waiting for your order by looking through all the neat trinkets they have for sale.
I recommend the restaurant to everyone that is passing through the area! Can't wait to be back.

Great food! Great service! Nice display of items for sale, made by local artists. Even the wall art is for sale; mainly oil on canvas. Best place to eat in this area. We tried the #1 rated restaurant in town and were highly disappointed. This place is BY FAR the best! High Desert Cafe needs to get on Trip Advisor like yesterday.

Stopped in here one morning before heading to Canyonlands National Park for breakfast. I ended up getting a drip coffee and a bagel sandwich. Service was quick and the food was so good! My boyfriend and I came back the next morning before heading out of the state. If you’re looking for a quick bite, I’d recommend stopping in here.

Just needed a quick breakfast between Moab and Mesa Verde, chose this one. Not impressed... I ordered an omelette which is suppose to be green peppers, mushrooms, onions and cheddar cheese. Asked to hold the mushrooms. All that was in my omelette was cheese and onions. Besides it was basically cold. The hash browns were dry and bland. Cute place and a nice little artisan gift shop, but I cam to EAT!

Very nice little place! They serve breakfast from opening till 11 then lunch after. Drill is to order from the counter then your meal is delivered to the table. I varied from my usual and ordered a healthy breakfast, a yogurt, granola, and fruit mixture that tasted great. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal.

We really wanted to like this place especially since it was the only place we could find open for breakfast. I had Sweet Cream Pancakes with Blueberries and they were not cooked all the way through...raw batter inside! He had eggs, sausage & hash browns. The sausage was tasteless and the hash browns were not even browned! Besides all that, the prices seemed awfully high. Guess it’s supply & demand. Wish we could say better, but it was pretty bad. Maybe it was just an off day.
