Beans & Brews Coffeehouse

I absolutely love the Layton location!! Everyone that works there, especially the General Manager, is fantastic. Very friendly, my orders are ALWAYS CORRECT, the store is clean and tidy, and the drive through is efficient and timely. Thank you, Layton Beans & Brews for making my coffee life enjoyable!

I used to prefer Beans to Starbucks, but it seems like lately they only know how to make black coffee. Last night my husband and I stopped by for the new Oatmeal Cookie latte. Instead I got what tasted like a black coffee with a sprinkle of cinnamon. I went home and had to put my own creamer in, so I spent $5 for coffee I could've made myself. At home.

The drinks are okay. I feel like they can taste a little watered down at times. The inside could really use some deep cleaning. They have a shelf nearby the counter and you can tell it hasn’t been moved in quite a while. There’s dirt underneath it, and as I was looking around, I saw quite a few areas that looked filthy. The staff however is always very friendly and I very much appreciate that.

Went in excited for a new coffee place. We ordered 2 drinks. They wasn't friendly and made the wrong drink. I questioned them and they acted like it was my fault? I told them I would take it and they said no they already started the right drink, grabbed the drink from me and through it away. I will not be back!

I first want to say that up till now, I have loved this location. But something weird has been going on the past few months. Every time a barista rings me up and we chat while my drink is being made, the manager comes up in the middle of a sentence and gives the barista a random task. I thought it was an accident the first time but every time I go in there it tends to happen. The manager never lets the baristas relax - not even to have a friendly chat with someone who comes in several times a week. It’s sad to see the baristas stressed all the time. Everything about this location is great except for the over-bearing manager. I can see now why there has been such high turnover of employees at this location.

Went through the drive through and it was quick and friendly. I ordered a Large Vanilla Ice coffee and it was delicious. Super sweet service with a smile.

Update: the incident which prompted my first review seemed to have been an anomaly. I'm happy to report I have made several trips to Beans and Brews, Layton location, and have received very prompt, friendly service. Even at times when the restaurant was busy (pre COVID-19) the service was polite.

So excited to stop by my favorite coffee place this morning. Went inside and then was completely ignored for over 5 minutes while every car in drive-thru through was served. At least acknowlegde my presence. Would it be so hard to say "I'll be with you in a minute" or even "Hi"?

Finally gave up and went outside, got in car, and went to the drive-thru since this seemed to be the only way to get the staff's attention. So, just don't bother to go inside the shop, they will ignore you if you do.

Came here a few times and okay service. The last time I told the lady my drink was wrong that is was a ms bees not mr bees and she literally opened my cup and spooned it out to check it.... then made me a new that tasted like a burnt coffee....

Esmeralda and her team at the Layton store is the absolute best! I drive out of my way just to go to this store. I read some poor reviews about management which are so far from the truth. They truly make sure their customers are satisfied. If you aren't happy then go and talk to them. They will make it right! Seriously, this is hands down the best Beans and Brews in Utah!
