I ordered ahead of time in the app. 2 oat milk lattes, 2 macarons and a ginger chew cookie. The macarons were a little small for $2.50 however I understand they are made in-house by hand by expert bakers. I’m always in favor of supporting small business and after I tasted them I understood. The lemon lavender macaron was delicate and balanced. I’m encouraged to know that there are still coffee shops that can appreciate the artistry of pastry chefs as opposed to outsourcing for mass produced goods that taste of preservatives and cheap ingredients. The ginger chew tastes like Christmas but not the dysfunctional kind. More like untouched snowdrifts sparkling in the December morning sun. The bake was perfect. The texture, chewy as promised. And the spices and flavors evoking an emotional reaction as I closed my eyes and savored the complexity. Well done bakers of 3 Cups Coffee. I look forward to enjoying more of your baked confections. As for the coffee, lovely and exactly what I wanted.
Lisa, apparently one of the co owners, shouts at her (wonderful) employees while they are helping customers. I go a lot, this has happened more than once. Otherwise it is truly a lovely experience.
She really should treat her people better, especially during business hours.
Great hot chocolate...when Its served hot enough. They have some really yummy food as well. I actually love the biscotti when its fresh. Serves are small and more on the expensive side but you are paying for quality and everything I have tried delivers on taste. Its often very busy and hard to find a seat so it can be tricky when meeting up with friends and then you can't get a seat. Wi-Fi is free and great. Its always clean.
I live just down the street and love this location in general and, specifically, 3 Cups. Great atmosphere and customer experience. I’ve been here a few dozen times. Coffee is good and pastries are ok. Nothing is bad, just pretty generic. The cinnamon rolls are always raw, unbaked dough in the center. The veggie tart today was uncooked, raw egg throughout the middle.
The main complaint or drawback is the price point. It’s expensive for the rather generic coffee/food. Maple Latte with Veggie Tart $15.30. It makes it difficult to support local shops when you’re spending a good $6 more from the franchise coffee shop on every other corner. The best way to sum it up is that the price point is similar to Tulie Bakery, but without the “woah” factor from the pastries/food.
Great service and enjoyable space that can accommodate individuals working on laptops or groups of various sizes. In the trendy part of Holladay, this shop is always bustling. Good coffee and other drinks with cheerful staff. Check it out!
We had a wonderful time at a workshop and the actual staff was great! Unfortunately it ran over, the host was doing everything she could to speed things up but the owner was quite rude about it. She made the end of the class super awkward and rushed. The employees were still cleaning up and it wasn't that long after the class was supposed to end. We ended up having the workshop host finish our project and we'll pick them up this weekend, I didn't think that was necessary as we only had 15-20 minutes more. (It would have been 45 minutes over.) I was really disappointed in how the owner acted and rushed the class - it kind of ruined the experience. I get that it was an inconvenience, but it should have been handled in a much more appropriate way.
They open really early, how can they be so happy and efficient? Offered to stow my ski bag/equipment while I toured the town. The best coffee and a super menu for almost any craving. I must return for another selection while I'm in Holladay😁
Horrible coffee! I went there tonight with a friend! My coffee was old and bad! My friend ordered a chai and it was cold and flat! When she talked to the cashier she just poured milk on the already flat chai! Also she was touching her nose ring and then served us without even washing her hands! What a disappointment! This place used to b great! I such a bad experience tonight!! ☹️☹️
Soooo, I’m torn because their gelato was legit 5+ stars. The pistachio is off the rails. The place is super modern, clean and a great little shop ...but all my many years of drinking Mediterranean (Italian) style espresso, I have never had less enjoyable coffee. My drink is simple: Dark (French or Italian) roast coffee with shots of espresso, a simple drink you can get at any legit espresso house, called a “shot in the dark” or a “black eye”. They informed me they don’t ever have French roast or Italian roast. Their darkest roast is a medium. ...and the coffee they made me was 5x more bitter than my normal B&Bs coffee. It was so bitter, it almost transcended into tangy-sweet. Coffee should never taste like that. It is clear that some ppl who have given that coffee good reviews simply has no idea what good coffee should taste like. How do I know what good coffee tastes like? Plenty of good local examples: Millcreek Roasters’ dark tastes like Italian coffee, Beans & Brews French roast is insanely good, and even Starbucks does a great pour-over of Italian or Verona dark roast. It’s a shame because the people working here are super nice and hardworking, the gelato is amazing, bakery was great, location and design is modern and cozy. The only thing missing at this coffee shop? Good coffee. ...you guys REALLY need a good dark French/Italian roast brewed all day. Lmk when you get the coffee part of your coffee shop right. I would love to spend more time here. Sadly, I just can’t. ...unless I’m craving gelato :)

Everything is made from scratch by their own bakers. The food is DELICIOUS! Lots of seating. Fun place to hang out with friends.
