Brown House Cafe

Not a good experience for me. Hostess' were rude. Not pleasant or welcoming. Had a party of 7 and they gave us 5 menus. Waitress took our order and even read it back to us. 2 of us received the wrong meal. I sent mine back and got the correct meat which was chicken and it wasn't cooked through. At this point in time, the other people in our party were almost through with their order, so I told the waitress never mind, just don't charge me for my order. I can't say anything about the taste or quality of the food, but others in my party enjoyed it. The waitress only returned once to see if we needed anything. I had to catch her as she was walking by to tell her about my food. At another table, we saw someone stop a waitress to ask for something and they were told that it wasn't their table. Also, at another table the people had to get up and go get their own food as it had been setting out their for a bit waiting to be taken to their table. Management seemed to be non existent. No one seemed to be running the restaurant. Won't be returning.

I absolutely love Brown house. The cheese sticks or as we call them (cheese logs) are the greatest things on the menu. But really you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. There is good variety and price is right in line with the portions. My kids love going there. You get great friendly service and a home town atmosphere.

Forgot to take a picture of the food or establishment. Why? Because the food was tasty, and my wife and I were juggling 2 and 4 year old boys (parents know). I had a breakfast burrito and my wife ordered a side salad with a chicken omelet, I think it was. Overall the food was fresh and tasted good. My biggest thing is customer service and this place was on point. They made us feel at home which is why I’d come back anytime.

This is the first time I have been to this location. Because it was Friday they’re special of the day was catfish. I decided to get the catfish and shrimp combination for $10.95. It came with hush puppies and one side. I ordered onion rings, even though they aren’t homemade, because the waitress said they were good. They were better than average onion rings, but still not homemade! I also ordered some fried pickles as an appetizer just because I love them. Unfortunately everything was served at the same time, so I didn’t get to enjoy the appetizer first. Everything was very hot and fresh which is very important to me. The shrimp was good, but next time I will opt for catfish only so that I can have two fillets. The catfish was excellent. I will definitely come back to try other items. The waitress told me that her steak fingers “kicked Dairy Queen’s butt.” I have no doubt! Although I did not have dessert today, I have had many people tell me that they’re pies are fantastic. Next time maybe I’ll get dessert instead of an appetizer…

Went in for a late breakfast/lunch today and we had a beyond wonderful experience! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs (our waitress recommended it) and he said that was one of the best he’s ever had! My girls had some cinnamon rolls and they were almost as big as the plates and garnished beautifully! My platter was also very delicious I needed TWO take out boxes! Overall, our waitress Leslie was wonderful she was so sweet, patient, and so attentive! If you haven’t visited Brown House then what are you doing!

I live right around the block from this place and today was my first visit. So very good. Just good, old-fashioned home cooking. The server was sweet as pie and the food was delicious. I may have just found my go-to neighborhood diner... and it is just a short walk away.

All of the food is great but try the cheese sticks and you won't have to eat again for a week.

Had breakfast there and it was really good. The staff was very friendly.

Love the BLT's, BK's at Brown House. The staff are very pleasant and good food turnaround is fast. I very often say to the server, wow that was fast. Oh and the iced coffee is 20 times better than what you get at Starbucks for a 1/4 of the price. Writing this review made me realize I'm overdue a visit.
