First time visiting, and I'm in love! The Dessert Spot doesn't just have scrumptious desserts, the atmosphere is inviting and owners are customer service friendly! We purchased several items including a vanilla cappuccino, cheesecake, chocolate cake, brownie and cookies! We will be back. Thank you!

We stopped in here after an early dinner and I'm super glad we didn't go to Starbucks or another chain. The owner was working the counter and was extremely nice and genuine. The dessert (as you can see) was delicious. We just got vanilla cappuccinos, but they were definitely better than the cheap gas station cappuccinos.

The atmosphere is nice and I would recommend stopping in!

When you are looking for a family-owned coffee and desert shop rather than the usual chain, the Waxahachie, Texas Dessert Spot is perfect!

While taking lunch in Waxahachie, I discovered its charming historical downtown and this sweet spot to grab a hot beverage and dessert! The chocolate chip cookies are upper fresh and huge – plenty to share between the two of us. The vast selection of homemade desserts is impressive. Red velvet, butter sugar, lemon, double chocolate, snickerdoodle, peanut butter, oatmeal chocolate chip with walnuts cookies and more.

The owners are exceptionally warm, professional, and welcoming. You get a generous smile along with service from Elmo. Whatever you order, kindness accompanies it. We noted Elmo’s pride in his wife’s décor and dessert recipe creations. For a mid-day pick up moment, this place offers it all. There is ample seating that includes a high-top counter area near the large front windows, table arrangements for larger groups, smaller tables with benches, and a cozy couch and arm chairs area. Very pleasant!

Other pluses are that items are super affordable and its location is interesting as it's inside of a well-kept historic hotel. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting downtown Waxahachie. Its carrot cake, cheesecake and lemon cake are exceptional, too. Especially, the lemon is bursting with fresh fruit flavor.

Take time to read the signage, quotes, and words of encouragement displayed throughout the shop. These owners care about their clientele and are passionate to offer an exceptional experience.

We found parking easily and enjoyed walking to the nearby historic courthouse.

Awesome customer service. Thea is a jewel. Visited by way of word of mouth referral. The place smells amazing. Very aesthetically pleasing. Tried several cookies and the chocolate chip is amazing. I also purchased the Reese's and snickerdoodle cookies. They also had some yummy looking cakes. Will visit again.

Small business of the year - and with good reason. There is a lot of love and care in the desserts - and so much flavor! It doesn't matter what you choose, it is all delicious. Reasonable prices, great quality

This place is pretty awesome. The aesthetic is great, very welcoming and clean . You almost don’t want to leave when you’re there. My family and I got there extremely late, maybe 15 minutes before closing and they were wonderful to us. Didn’t feel like they were rushing us out in anyway. You could tell they are very hard working people. You can also tell that the people that own this place are very proud of the establishment they have created. I ordered a cheesecake and it was everything I was expecting and more. Will be back when we are in the area .

The owners were super awesome to talk with and the desserts were gooooooooood! We had the cheese cake, brownie, and double chocolate cookie. Highly recommend!

It's a super cute place and the desserts were decent but for a dessert only place they have such a small selection. Only cakes and cookies...no pastries or pies, pudding, sweet breads, etc.
And the prices were probably fair because the portion sizes were huge but personally I don't want a slice of cake that rich to be that big. I'd rather have half the size and pay less for it.

Just tried this place out for the first time! First of all the cookies are MASSIVE! My husband, son, and I just shared a lemon cookie and it was delicious! Next, we ordered a couple of coffees. I had the caramel frozen confection. My husband had the iced mocha. Both coffees were amazing! Love it! Third, and lastly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The smell of fresh baked treats and goods filled my nose and soul. Love it! 10 out of 10 will be back again!

Nice place for get a coffee and cookies. The hot cocoa is great !
