5 stars for the coffee, but only 3 stars for the spirits.
The coffee here is amazing. They sell coffee from many different origins, including some from Mexico, which is one I do not see often. All of it is very good--drip or pour over. The aesthetic is really nice, and it just seems like the place anyone could hang out and work, catch up with friends, or conduct interviews/meetings. There is an outdoor area at the top that looks out over downtown Waco, and it is beautiful!
I've only ever gotten one cocktail from Dichotomy, and I was thoroughly disappointed at how sweet it was. The server clearly knew what she was doing, and so I think it is just the recipe for their old fashioned that is sweeter than any other I have had. Otherwise, they have top-shelf liquor, so it's a great spot for a drink. I just don't recommend the old fashioned to regular old fashioned drinkers.

An iced coffee is great way to start your day, and Dichotomy really nailed it for me. Literally a coffee bar, the setup is something I haven't seen before. It really felt like a nice place to meet up with friends and have a chat about which Covid vaccine you got, or how long you think Mike McCarthy will remain the head coach. Whatever your into.
Great staff and very clean seating area. They were friendly to a dummy like me when I asked what the heck an Americano was and didn't laugh at me when I told them I wanted to grow my own coffee beans. So that's a plus.

Great atmosphere with delicious drinks and very friendly staff! The WiFi is fast and the rooftop is the prefect place to sit and read or work on a nice day. My only recommendation would be to adjust the price on the drip coffee ($3 a cup) so I can afford to come here more often. Definitely give this downtown gem a try.

The atmosphere was good and I loved the balcony seating! But honestly their coffee choices were a bit limited. It was good coffee just not great. The staff was very nice and I enjoyed it but I felt like no one understood when I was trying to order but still good coffee. They also sell kombucha and it’s great!

This is probably the best tasting coffee that I've had in a really long time. Perfectly balanced and very smooth. The coffee was so tasty that I could drink the espresso without any sugar and not a hint of bitterness. Nice place, it seems very chill. They also serve cocktails, which looked good. I would enjoy having a drink with a friend here.

Stoped by while in Waco for TAPPS competition. Great service with an Ethiopian pour over. Great atmosphere & would have bought a shirt if they had it in my size. Excellent experience & will stop in again next time I’m in Waco.

Is there anything better than a lavender oat milk latte from Dichotomy? No.
I enjoy supporting this place. They connect with the local community/local nonprofit organizations, they have good coffee, promote a fun atmosphere, etc. The employees are really nice! Dichotomy is the perfect halfway stop between Austin and Dallas, too! 😉
The only drink I think they could improve upon is the cold brew. Maybe the concentration was off the day I tried it.

Lives up to all the expectations that I read in reviews. Phenomenal coffee and espresso! Great atmosphere for studies and hanging out! Rooftop seating, store front outside seating, and lots of indoor seating. Baristas were great, knowledgeable about their coffees and products, and they were easy to talk to! Overall the best coffee experience I have had so far while traveling Texas.

Really nice coffee place as well as a bar inside. Very spacious areas to to work or study. Staff is semi friendly but very professional. There are often local bands that play outside and upstairs which adds to the overall cool Ambience of one of the largest coffee houses in Waco. The coffee is good but not the best. The prices are typical of most coffee places. The best part of the experience is the amount of room this place has for studying, meeting Etc.

Both the coffee and the tea are quite good, although perhaps a bit overpriced for the amount you get. While the atmosphere is generally quiet and pleasant, if you go during peak hours, don't expect to find an open table. If the weather is nice, definitely take the opportunity to sit on the roof, which has a gorgeous view of downtown Waco.
