Far Flung Outdoor Center

Oh how I wish I had pic of our room to share! Here’s my review though….
I 1st visited Far Flung for an ATV adventure this past October. That was really a good adventure & our guide, Greg, was SUPER! Last night, I spent the night in a Casita here & it was SUPER AWESOME! From my immaculate room to the property’s hot tub!! They spare no expense here! So the rate is commensurate w/the stay, FOR SURE! I loved it so much im already booked for April!

Far Flung has THE best guided jeep, atv and river tours (guides are incredibly knowledgeable) and they have the most beautiful Casitas I've ever stayed in! Highly highly recommend!

This place was simply amazing. Especially great for families. Inside the Casitas you get the homely feeling, yet as soon as you walk out the door you the that adventure feeling. The staff was great, and the resort was absolutely amazing. The views you get during the day, and seeing the stars at night are just awesome. We also took a river trip on kayaks through far flung on the Rio grand river. Glynn and Daniel were just the most amazing guides. They all of 20-21 years old. And they know the river like they have been doing it for 20 years. The views we saw on the river trip were just absolutely breath taking. Big bend national park makes the rest fo Texas look like a mediocre city park. Its truly majestic Thanks so much to far flung for an amazing vacation.

We called at the last minute for a half day float, this was the most professional operation I have ever seen. Everything was well organized and all the details taken care of when we arrived. Our guides Liam and Hannah were very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the area. Even the shuttle driver was a wealth of knowledge. They also have lodging on site as well. This is a big outfit, one of the oldest in the area, you won't be disappointed.

Incredible business. Friendly, informative and passionate. Early morning coffee and provisions, excellent hike shirt and hat selection, and great prices on essentials.

We took the 1/2 day river tour and it was excellent!! Erin and Devo did a fantastic job! They were very knowledgeable about the area and were excellent river guides! We are planning our next trip which will include a full day on the river and will be back to Far Flung!!

We stayed for 3 wonderful nights in one of Far Flung’s very comfortable casitas. It provided easy access to Big Bend and was the perfect place to come home to after hiking, horseback riding and exploring the park. The pool and hot tub were awesome - along with our back porch and rocking chairs for coffee, reading, and cocktails. Far Flung’s coffee shop and homemade muffins were an added bonus! We even forgot a few items and they sent them right out without hesitation. A perfect, relaxing place to stay - we would highly recommend booking a casita during a trip to Big Bend and Terlingua.

Took a great jeep tour! So fun to get to spend time away from crowds and learn about the area.

This was my second time in Terlingua and my friends first time coming down, but this was all our first time on ATV’s. We couldn’t have chosen a better activity and company than Far Flung! Our guides Randy & Eden were SO friendly, funny and most importantly knowledgeable! The 3 hour ride was beyond worth the price and such an experience! If you can make it through the training course they take you on prior to actually hitting the road, you have nothing to worry about! We had such a great time and will 100% be booking again with you guys in the future for ATVS and the other activities you all have! Thanks so much!
