Far Flung Outdoor Center

We met at the Far flung site. They have a little canteen for coffee and fresh baked goods. Guides are hilarious! We did the half day and it was very nice. The guides are knowledgeable about the area. It was nice to be in nature but the wasps are certainly there! If anyone iS allergic bring EPI pen.

Great folks. Superb for big groups. Yummy homemade salsa, if you buy lunch on your river tour. Really good t-shirt selection at the shop.

We took the Jeep tour with Jennifer. She was great and very informative. She was patient with all our questions and stopped and let us take bird pictures. Also the young woman in the office/store was super nice and helpful. Would 100% recommend this experience.

The river guides were without a doubt well equipped, experienced, organized, and well prepared. Right down to handling a diverse group of people. The food was well prepared, varied and delicious. The tents were roomy. Our guides never contradicted each other. Brandon’s leadership was thoroughly experienced. He was cautious when the need was appropriate guiding us safely down the River. Even the toileting situation was handled with great regard for cleanliness and environmental safety. Far Flung Outdoor Center under Brandon, Amanda, John and Dan along with their support team were 5 star all the way!

Great relaxing place to stay and go canoeing and keep and ATV tours

We just returned from Big Bend and a river trip with Far Flung Outdoor Center. I can not say enough about their entire operation and personnel.

Every detail was taken care of -
1. Booking and check-in - easy, thorough/detail information that prepared us for what to expect. The personnel in the office/shop were SO kind and helpful. And they have a great array of T-Shirts, maps of the park, etc. so be sure to bring a little $!
2. guides - professional, knowledgeable and very nice
3. Equipment - tents, life jackets, boats, etc. All were clean, no smells and in very good shape.
4. Food - Outstanding!!! It is amazing what they can produce in the middle of nowhere!

It is so nice to be able to participate in the adventure and not have to worry about anything! The entire "adventure" was wonderful and one that my husband and I highly recommend.

Wonderful full day rafting trip through Santa Elena Canyon. Rye was an excellent guide.

We had a great trip with them. The guide was excellent and knowledgeable about the park.

We stayed at the Far Flung Casitas during the first half of our stay in Terlingua. It’s the perfect distance from the park and the main area of town. The view from our cabin was amazing. The pool was so nice and clean and the outdoor areas were great. The kitchen is outside in a shared area and includes a great flat top grill that we used for cooking several of our meals. Wifi was great (which is VERY needed in Terlingua). The self check in was easy. It was such a great stay and we will definitely be back next time!

Very nice lodging and location. Friendly staff, nice firepit, rooms have table, chairs, and kitchen, but only a microwave.
