Summer Moon Coffee

I hit up the San Antonio U.S. 281 location once per month, since they opened.

Today I happened to be in San Marcos.

This location DOES NOT TAKE CASH. (Please explain why!?)

[I'll have to see if the SA location still accepts cash.]

I love supporting local business and HATE Starbucks!!!!

However, I can not support a business that chooses to not accept cash.

I did NOT want to post a ☆☆ review. I love Summer Moon. However, folks need to know you do not take cash. That may be OK with your base, but not me.

There may be a valid reason. If so, perhaps I will revise my rating and review.

(No, Covid is not nor has ever been a valid reason)

My husband, our son, and two of our grandchildren (Eedan and Ella) stopped into Summer Moon for drinks. Eedan and Ella loved the frozen hot chocolate! My husband enjoyed the espresso milkshake! I loved my Blue Moon Latte, and my son added sugar to his delicious hibiscus tea. Recommended!

Went to summer moon this morning and got an iced mocha moon latte and it’s amazing! The service is very fast. I was in and out within 5 minutes! I also got their potato, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos and they were not that good. The potatoes were too dry and even trying to cover it in salsa did not help. I also wish the staff was more cheerful. When I walk in the staff was not smiling or greeting anyone.

I just visited this place yesterday by accident and i will say it is my new favorite spot for coffee! Everyone in the facility is friendly, fast and informative on their products that they have. My new favorite is the summer moon latte which, hot, taste like blue bell melted ice cream!!! I say for anyone looking for premium coffee, this is the spot!

My favorite part about my day is coming to get my 3/4 winter moon.🤍 I’ve been coming here since it opened and the customer service is amazing! The staff always creates an inviting atmosphere with their friendly attitudes and warm smiles. 🥰This is my favorite coffee shop in San Marcos. If you need somewhere to study, read, catch up with a friend, or simply be in the presence of good company come to Summer Moon! ☕️

Excellent coffee experience. I really liked the Moon Latte and ordered it 3/4 Moon sweetness. I think the full Summer Moon would be too sweet for me. It was difficult to tell how the wood fire roast impacted the coffee flavors so I’ll need to get the black coffee next time to find out. The coffee cake was good, not too sweet. My wife enjoyed the banana mint muffin, and her iced chai was average good- the powdered chai mixed dissolves differently in cold water. She might order it hit next time to see how that goes. Good mix of indoor / outdoor seating but no shade on outside tables. We’ll come back.

I always get the Iced Blue Moon, its so good. Fast, friendly service. They don’t accept cash which I don’t have a problem with, just a thing to make a note of!

We fell in love with this place! 🥰 my daughter and I legit love this cute coffee shop and the employees were super sweet! We got there 10 minutes to closing and it didn’t look like we were the only ones trying to get our coffee fix last minute and the employees weren’t bitter or upset they welcomed everyone to get their coffee. The coffee is amazing and their vegan treats were just as good! Thank you for a great experience last night! ♥️☕️

The 1/2 moon is delicious, perfectly sweet. They don't take cash. The staff is friendly.

Summer Moon is the best! I come here at least 5 times a week to study and it never disappoints. Good coffee is always a plus but the baristas working here is what makes this coffee shop the best. Always greeting and are super friendly towards customers. They prioritize the lines and make sure each customer is satisfied. Highly recommend stopping by if in the area for a coffee!
