This is my local coffee shop, and I visit often. The experience is consistently good. I'd recommend it to anyone. I love strong black coffee, but for me, the coffee here is a little over-extracted. But based on the other reviews here, that must be a matter of taste.
Fantastic spot overall!

We come to Local pretty regularly. The coffee is exquisite. It is a open, minimalist coffee shop that is great for sitting for hours doing work. There are plenty of outlets along the walls so you won't have to worry about getting interrupted by a low battery signal. You could easily spend a whole day sipping on coffee and working on your laptop here.

I love local coffee. Mostly because of the atmosphere and locations close to me. Their drinks are pretty good and service is usually pretty fast but can get crowded. Other than that great coffee and great place. Always get really friendly service

Coffee was very good and flavorful. They have coffee packets for sale as well. Not many snack options.

Went there on a Saturday. I usually go across the street to Bird Bakery for my latte. The place smelled, it smelled like they allow pets in there. It was really musty. When I walk into a coffee house all I want to smell is coffee. My latte was mediocre. It just had a strange taste. I will have to say I wasn't impressed and won't go back. I enjoy Aspen brew, Bird Bakery and some Starbucks just for reference.

One of the highlights of SA. Great vibe. Nicer than the Pearl location as it's less crowded. An iced coffee on a hot day outside on the patio is amazing. If you like this place, check out Rosella as well.
Will say that pastries are waay too expensive, $5 for a homemade pop-tart, yikes.

I have coffee here at least once a week, always pleased with the service and quality of the coffee.

I recently moved to San Antonio and I stumbled upon this coffee shop (here and one of their other locations). Delicious coffee! I’ve had both their iced coffee and an iced dirty chai and both were delicious. Felt very safe with Covid precautions in place. Best coffee I’ve had in San Antonio!

While I'm not a San Antonio resident, one of the things I most look forward to when traveling through the area on business is stopping in at a Local Coffee. The laid back vibe coupled with excellent coffee and a good selection of food/snacks make for the type of coffee house experience most are looking for. And with fast, reliable, and free internet service available, there is simply no reason for patrons to come away from a visit disappointed.

We liked going to this coffee shop because they are inexpensive, they serve a good hot chocolate and they offer discount for military. We have been there a total of 3 times. This last time, however, was not good at all. They were in a rush to leave so they tell me "Just letting you know that we close in 20 minutes". I was fine with that. We got our hot chocolates...we usually order 2 regular and 2 kids hot chocolates. We sat to drink it with another family that we took here because we had liked it so much before. There kid accidently spilled his hot chocolate and, instead of wasting paper towels, my friend asks for a rag. Usually when this happens at any other establishment, one of the employees will bring a rag and/or a mop to clean it up and will just say something along the lines of "Oh, don't worry sir, I'll clean it up". This person simply handed the rag to my friend and walked back to the kitchen area. Common courtesy, I guess, is not common. The chocolate was bland, watered down and very hot. Usually it is warm and we can drink it right away. About 5 minutes to closing time, the guy starts slamming the bar stools and chairs on the tables around us. It sounded as if he was angry at us for making him have that job. I guess they do this to mop the floor after they close. They put on some obnoxious music and blasted the volume. AND they turned on the a/c to start shooing away the people. I had never been there at closing time, but I certainly did not feel welcome. I am assuming the owner, or manager, has no idea this is happening. If he does know, well...I'm hope he realizes exactly how he was able to screw up a wonderful relationship my family and I had with this place. If these guys don't like working with people, maybe they should get another job. Will not be returning.
