Nice place. Not a lot of drink options and a little too hipster for me but the lavender iced latte was pretty decent.

Good coffee shop. I feel like the coffee isn't as good as it used to be back when this was called Local Coffee.

Great location, great Baristas, great coffee. Good place to meet friends to talk. However, I wish parking or a little easier.

Pretty busy, and a bit crowded but good coffee. I did appreciate the fact that they had an outdoor seating area cause there were way too many people inside without a mask. I get that people don't have to wear masks anymore here in Texas but I choose to wear one since I have two kids under 4 who can't be vaccinated. For that reason I probably wouldn't come back here. Nothing bad against the coffee makers or shop. The coffee was great just too many bodies in the building for me.

Love the coffee but would really like the cold drinks to have regular sized ice cubes instead of crushed ice. Crushed ice waters down the drinks faster and makes the drinks watery and not as tasty. The other merit location by Leon springs has ice cubes, but the location is too far from where I live. Merit coffee, please please have ice cubes as an option for cold drinks at the Alamo Heights location!

This is a nice place to hang out and study or meet friends although the music is a bit loud sometimes. Good coffee and friendly baristas. Try the affogato!

Great service from baristas, building is very nice and a good place to study. Lots of seating despite it being a pretty busy cafe. Good selection of pastries, food like tacos or cafe sandwiches yogurt and the like.
Cool merchandise for sale, bags of coffee and instant coffee products for sale and well-described.
House coffee was good, also got a cortado that was delicious with deep rich taste and creaminess.

I was in SA for the weekend and gave this place a shot bc it had good reviews and enjoy trying local coffee. I made my order with an hour and a half anticipation only to be told at pick up that the cinnamon rolls are sold out and I was refunded (thank you btw). I wasn’t asked if I wanted anything else and feel like this could’ve been communicated to me beforehand given the big time frame. Some coffee shops have done this before but I understand if this place isn’t willing to go the extra mile to provide good service. Also when I came up to the pick up area no one acknowledged me which makes me think anyone could’ve just taken my drink. Not sure if the latte just wasn’t made correctly with the milk alternative I paid for but I had a stomach ache. It couldn’t have been anything else as this was all I had during my road trip back home. Cute place but won’t be going back, wish y’all the best.

My favorite of their SA locations. Nice spot, parking can be a bit limited. Always busy. I personally don’t like their drip coffee cause it’s lemony or acidic to my taste but I do enjoy their espresso drinks- I always get their americano. Not texas size portions but that’s fine. Your probably there for the ambience more than anything. It’s a more hip vibe which is fitting since it’s off Broadway.

This morning was my first time here at Merit Coffee at the Broadway location. My husband brought me here after our workout and decided to “reward” ourselves with some coffee. The service was awesome. Jonathan was really nice and helpful. He gave great customer service and good recommendations. I had a latte and my husband had an americano. Overall good experience and because of Jonathan we will back!!!!!
