I am very picky when it comes to coffee, and I was a little skeptical of what San Angelo had to offer, despite this, however, I selected the "best" coffee shop in town.

Finding this establishment is difficult because construction has completed blocked one road leading to it, however, once the entrance to the shopping center is discovered, parking is plentiful.

The location is unmistakable due to its exterior decorations and lighting.

The inside was clean and orderly to the point if sterility - the potential hallmarks of someone running such an establishment as a hobby rather than a serious enterprise. Also, the staff was young - again, a potential concern for serious coffee.

Despite this, service was prompt, professional and friendly.
I ordered a cappuccino (my touchstone of rating for a coffee shop for the first time) and a seasonal pumpkin spice and key lime muffins.

Everything was excellent.
The cappuccino had a very pleasant dark, toasted roast (which I prefer) which belies the expertise of the roaster, as it is right on the border of potentially tasting "burnt," but instead was perfect (again, for me and my tastes).

The muffins were also excellent, in that they were very well baked, moist with, for me, a little too much sugar on top.

The prices were outstanding for the quality and portions I received.

In conclusion - this is an excellent coffee shop, where care and attention are out into every aspect - especially the coffee.

I would definitely return.

Visited this place for the first time before leaving the area. I feel in love with it immediately! They have a great menu, friendly staff, plenty of sugar free options. So inviting and welcoming, and most of all COZY! Lots of comfortable seating on couches plus plenty of tables and chairs for studying/visiting. I only wish we lived closer because we’d be going here all the time. Pictured is an espresso brownie which was absolutely delicious!

We were passing through San Angelo and was recommended this place and now we recommend it ourselves! I got an iced Nitro Cold Brew coffee, and my husband got the Cold Brew Milkshake, they were both really good. Not pictured: we got their Amaretto muffin and it was so so good. Very homey feeling when you come in and they have games available to play with while you're there. I forgot to get the name of the employee who took our order, but she was amazing. She was able to answer all of our questions and help select what kind of drink we wanted.

I can't say enough good things about The Bearded Barista in San Angelo, TX! This coffee shop has quickly become my go-to spot for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.

One of the things I love most about The Bearded Barista is the welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and greets me by name when I walk in the door. There are plenty of places to sit, and I always feel comfortable and relaxed when I'm there.

But let's talk about the coffee - it's absolutely fantastic! My favorite drink is the Dirty Chai with cinnamon powder, and it never disappoints. The bagels and paninis are also top-notch, and I love trying the new themed specials that they come up with every month. It's clear that the employees take pride in their shop and their product, and it shows in everything they do.

One of the unique features of The Bearded Barista is that they roast their own coffee beans in-house. This means that the coffee is always fresh and flavorful, and it's a real treat when you catch the roasting process in action.

Lastly, I love that the building doubles as a church on Sundays and that there's a meeting room that can be reserved for parties, meetings, or other events. It's clear that The Bearded Barista is not just a coffee shop, but a vibrant and welcoming community hub.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Bearded Barista to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. This coffee shop truly has it all!

Coffee drinks, Italian sodas, hot cocoa all good. Lots of seating. Bagels, bagel sandwiches, pastries, paninis. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We always stop here on our way through San Angelo.

Not only was the seasonal latte I had exceptionally flavorful and not too sweet, the bagel, the Humboldt, was one of the best bagels and lox I've ever had! No skimping on the cream cheese and capers, and the mustard was just the right amount of zing and blending nicely with the sweet aspects. But wait, there's more! The ambience was exactly how I envision a community coffee to be; welcoming and comfortable, open and free, with people able to hang with each other or cozy up alone, with low music in the background and all sorts of home decor, it was perfect. While I ate I noticed those around me, a kiddo learning chess from the local chess guy, a couple enjoying a morning together, and the owners and crew talking about the community and ways to get involved. THAT is what a truly local coffee shop can do; not just pump out over the top drinks or move the line along, or showcase gorgeous pastries that look too good to eat; this coffee shop has amazing flavors but is about the people who live here and to me, that's where this spot straight up wins.

Not a little coffee shop! This place has all the comfy couches that you would want. Huge plus that they roast their own beans. I will definitely be returning.

I’m my opinion, the best coffee shop in town. The coffee is great. Anyone who knows good coffee can tell this place is special. The menu is uncomplicated. The food is also surprisingly good with quality ingredients. The establishment is large, very cozy, and best of all, it’s clean. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The first time I visited, the owners were there and took time to explain their roasting method, some of their story and when my young son asked a lot of kid-like questions they answered him seriously and respectfully like he was a customer. The couches, decor, games and stage in addition to the coffee, food, service and cleanliness that I mentioned make this the best coffee shop in San Angelo. Oh, and they have a small conference room in the back they rent for $15/hr (at time of writing). It was great for the baby shower we just had there.
