Cpl Ray's Coffee - Odessa

Troop support. Great coffee. Calm atmosphere. Iced or hot, you can guarantee that coffee is gonna be with your money. The barista was even kind enough to fix my pup a sweet treat (whipped cream and a dog biscuit) which ended with a nose buried into the cup the whole ride home! Forget Going to the run of the mill star bucks, this is the coffee joint for us.

I hate to give this place such a low review the young woman who took our order was so welcoming and sweet but beyond that , I just wasn’t fond of this place. I ordered the ray rays mocha because it had espresso in it. I noticed that they used iced coffee however when making my drinks so I asked if it was supposed to be that way and the girl said it was the same coffee bean and tasted the same. I can be a bit picky and honestly if I wanted iced coffee I would have ordered it and paid half the cost. I can tell the difference between iced coffee and shots of espresso.

Corporal Ray's is a little off the beaten path but is definitely worth the small detour. They have the usual coffee house menu items such as lattes, cappuccinos and frozen coffees, but they can make a wide variety of drinks that aren't on their menu.

I am not a coffee person so I asked what kind of tea they could make and what their suggestion would be. They made me a London Fog which is earl grey tea with lavender, vanilla, and a splash of milk. I had it iced the first time and I liked it enough to have it made hot a second time. This is a great little hidden gem in Odessa.

I had this reviewed as a 5 star two weeks ago. It's now lost 3 stars, as of today.. the two employees were more concerned with their high school friends coming in, than the customers order. We waited 20 minutes for a regular cup of coffee and muffin that were forgotten multiple times. I nicely reminded them 3 times and eventually had to walk around the counter. It's chaos. A manager being present would be lovely.

Good coffee and sausage egg crisaunt and veterans discount, just need to ask and have VA card.

This place has the best coffee! And its so much cheaper than starbucks. The customer service is very good as well. They take and make your order very fast. I would recommend trying it out

Ordered a large iced white mocha. Immediately after purchasing I decided to take the ice out. After removing it I was shocked to discover only about 1/4 of the cup was actual coffee. I maybe have 6 ounces of drink from a LARGE that is not ice. That is ridiculous. I know not to expect an entire cup full (duh) but mostly all ice?! No. That’s not what I’m paying for. I hate to see how much drink you actually get in a small. Two sips??

Haven’t been inside yet but always see a line driving by so decided to stop and try it and wow ! Every time I’ve gone the staff is very nice and the drinks are usually always on point , didn’t know this place existed but I’m glad I stopped and gave it a try 💯
