Jo's Downtown

Good morning from Jo's. I'm new to Mount Pleasant and this feels like home. I come every day to work. The baristas and drinks are top notch, the WiFi solid, and the casual conversations are the type that could start friendships.

Seriously love this place.

Updating my review to mention that you can get the specialty drinks made sugar free. I didn't even think how much sugar I was drinking in the morning, the taste is slightly different without sugar but still amazing. Glad I'm making the switch to remove added sugars from my drinks where I can!

Also, the staff here continues to impress not just with their expected coffee shop service, but their positive outlook on life is happily contagious.

Coffee is decent, the lid was leaking when I picked up the coffee and the cups are flimsy, when you hold the plastic cups, which makes a mess, and the straws are too short for a 24 oz iced coffee. Not pleased. I ordered a coffee and a muffin for pick up, the phone was busy and no one answered.I called multiple times to no avail. I walked into the establishment, and informed the barista that the phone wasn't working, and she said she wasn't aware. I ordered pick up for the whole reason of not having to get out of my vehicle and go into the building. Not pleased. Fix your phones. Get better cups, and longer straws. When someone orders caramel drizzle, put caramel drizzle.

Beautiful and wonderful coffee shop. Everyone should stop here. I absolutely LOVE this place and will go out of my way to stop here everytime I can. They have great books and wonderful everything! 💕

Happy to see MP has an independent coffee shop, on the square no less. Very comfortable accommodations with lots of seating. Has a hybrid funky/vintage feel to it. The barista who made my chai latte (which was *excellent*) was wonderful. I can vouch for the chai latte made from concentrate with coconut milk. Overall, great shop with great service. Highly recommend.

Kind of picky about my coffee, and this is really good. Nice service, nice broad menu. Atmosphere is really nice too.

Delightful coffee! Every time I go, I am impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the delicious coffees. I even had a smoothie once. It was great. The bagel I got was good. My friend's wrap was yummy, too. Definitely a Must Go.

I was in there a few weeks ago and I ordered a drink and it was coffee and I can only drink decaf. Even before I could drink my drink the barista said I’m sorry this is coffee and you ordered decaf. She remade it and gave me a punch card for her mistake. She definitely went out of her way to assist her customer. I definitely recommend this coffee shop. They are always kind and go out of their way to assist the customers.

The menu of drinks looked amazing, and although they did all they could to fill my drink order, they ran out of chai. I would have given them 5 stars otherwise.

Excellent coffee. Great atmosphere to sit and drink.

Bootlegger latte (vanilla/bourbon) is A++

WHAT A GEM! We are visiting Mt. Pleasant and Jo's Coffee was such a great place to stop and unwind with a great cup of coffee. The upstairs area is more quiet and spacious and the main floor is a perfect, comfortable space with great sounds of friends laughing together. It is very clean and the baristas were super friendly! The cost was great and the atmosphere just makes your visit even better. A must see to stop and unwind!
