Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea

Great atmosphere, clean facility and excellent equipment (La Marzocco + Mazer)... But, of the 4 drinks our family ordered only one was drinkable .. a mocha ice dragon (their name for a milkless frappe our kids shared).. the iced latte, hot cappuccino and Coco frappe (chocolate frappe with ice cream) were all so bitter they ended up in the trash.
We even ordered their 'special' espresso... And with the equipment they have, they should be pulling thick, caramel like shots of espresso goodness. Instead we got bitter shots in otherwise decent drink recipes. Aside from the shots the milk in the call was steamed by an untrained barista - resulting in the large 'cotton ball' of dry foam on top.
What is it with shops spending thousands on equipment and employee training, to then allow them to serve drinks like this?

I’ve tried this place a few times and never liked any of my drinks. I gave them a few chances but I’m not going back and don’t recommend it. I’ve tried the Thai tea (too watered down) and the ginger raspberry tea which tasted artificial and very bitter. I took the drink home and tried to fix it but still it wasn’t good. Plus the prices of the drinks are like $6 each or more which for the quality, is not worth it. If the drinks were good I wouldn’t have any problem paying that price.

My friend introduced this coffee place. Really loved the atmosphere, and have different choices of cakes, pastries teas, and coffees. I had sour cream coffee and pecan cake which was very moist and delicious. Staff are very courteous and helpful. The owner Ash was very friendly and explained their rewards program. Little bit far from Plano, but will definitely come again with family.

The staff are always smiling and ready to serve. Love the huge wall of windows that face the south. I enjoy watching the clouds in the sky during sunsets while sampling one of the many specialty beverages.

Two people working were trying so hard to keep up with the crazy rush of customers. Was there a wait? Of course. It's Friday at 8am. They were so apologetic and friendly despite a few other impatient customers. I love this place and it's so worth the wait. A little patience goes a long way.

Employees can't be bothered to arrive on time to open the store. Wait an hour or so and then order on your favorite delivery service.

As someone who enjoys a great cup of coffee or tea Sweetwater's is definitely the place to be (didn`t mean for that to rhyme). For my first time being there Jo thru the drive through was a great face to have greeted me. I drove out of my way and will continue to due so just to enjoy what the company has to offer. Their breakfast bagel sandwich was simple and fantastic ,made me want a second one. I also tried one of "the favs" Vietnamese drink and that was great hot with a shot of vanilla (Jo`s recommendation). Great experience over all !!!

By far the best coffee place I’ve ordered from. They have so much attention to detail. I swear the first sip I had gave me chills. It was that good . Will be getting my coffee here from now on.
