Very very nice cafe with gorgeous architecture and decorations. The vibe is nice inside and outside. I got the butterfly pea tea lemonade and it was good very sour but I added some sweetener. Would come back for coffee or a latte looked very good. They also serve food which we did not try. Would visit again.

The perfect coffee spot in Marfa! We stopped here twice while visiting the area, and we’ll definitely be back. There’s indoor and outdoor seating areas!

Family friendly and remote work friendly.

Face masks are highly recommended/required 😊

The Sentinel is a very interesting “one-stop shop” here in Marfa! They sell everything, I even found one of my favourite candle brands here - Na Nin. Food here is also decent, we ordered Barbacoa and sandwich “Italian”, all tasty! Last but not least, they really have some GREAT coffee, worth to give it a try!

We stopped here for brunch and it was overall not a wonderful experience. The staff were so apathetic; they couldn't be bothered to stop and take our order when we approached the counter.

The food itself was very average and overpriced. We get that the shop and cafe proceeds go to support the newspaper, but you would think that the staff would be more passionate and excited about that mission. Overall, an overpriced, lackluster establishment.

The Sentinel is a beautiful space, with really great interiors and outdoor patio.
Too bad the place is run by rude people, food is mediocre served with plastic cutleries and paper coffee cups even for dining in. No music inside at all. Way overpriced merchandise. The experience is simply ruined by the way it is delivered ..

We stopped by this place and my husband was very impressive. Their taco was sooooo good. Cute place and also dog friendly, I’m so glad they can have dog indoor so we don’t have to eat food under the Sun.

This is a lovely and chill place to have coffee and food.

Food is reasonably priced but on the small side..

Definitely would come back for a light bite.

Hip coffee place with good food. The Sentinel is very spacious and nicely decorated, exuding a kind of desert flair. Sadly, the espresso they serve is a boring dark roast (which, of course, doesn't matter if you're into lattes). The breakfast is very good, both the yogurt-granola parfait and the breakfast plate. What I dislike the most is that all the cups and cutlery are disposable—it compromises the experience of the meal and, more important, creates such a tremendous amount of avoidable waste.

I don't mind waiting in line, but this one took 35 minutes just to place an order. There were maybe 10 people ahead of me when I arrived, so I'm not sure what the delay was. Once I placed my order, the wait wasn't as long, ~25 minutes, for the eggplant, Fennel, and arugula sandwich. The folks in line were patient and respectful, even the young children. The sandwich sounded delicious. Unfortunately, it was inedible. They literally bathed it in olive oil, to the point the bread was saturated, and there was at least 1/4 cup of standing oil on the paper. I drained the veggies on paper towels and threw the rest away. The Americano was hot, but had no flavor. The interior ambience is nice and there are books and gifts to peruse while you wait, but the food was disappointing.

Possibly the best latte I have ever had! Love this place so much. Went almost every day we were in Marfa. The Strawberry Danish was also to die for.
