Avenida Coffee and Boba

Found my new favorite cool down drink for the coming texas summer! I got the improved Taro MT, the new recipe is definitely the winner. It’s so creamy and smooth, no more of that gritty chalky texture. I was able to customize my sweetness level and ice level, I got 100% sweet and 50% ice. With that being said it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet or drowned in ice the flavors balanced well with the drink. I also loved that when I brought my Avenida cup back to be reused, I got $1.50 off my order. This boba shop is definitely at the top of my list, especially with the convenience of it being next to the H-E-B exit.

Love the Boba drinks and the staff! They are fast and friendly. Easy to grab a drink before I go in to HEB and do my shopping. Great selection! Would love to have a hot milk tea for the winter months which is my only suggestion.

I am thrilled that we now have a place to get boba tea in Leander!

*If you're unfamiliar with boba tea, it's basically a flavored iced tea with sweet, chewy pearls (boba) at the bottom. Boba is made from cassava, which is a starchy root vegetable also used to make tapioca, but don't worry, it's nothing like the slimy tapioca you remember from your childhood pudding!*

Avenida offers hot and cold coffees ranging from plain black (Americano) to fancier Starbucks-like frappes, as well energy drinks, milk teas, fruit teas, fruit slushies.

I opted for the passion fruit tea and added the rainbow jellies, which were small fruity flavored chewies that I enjoyed. The tea was just the right amount of sweet, fruitiness, and tea flavor.
There was a lot of ice in my drink, which did make it harder to enjoy the gummies at the bottom, so next time I'll probably ask for less ice, but that's my only real critique.

I try to minimize my use of disposable plastic, so I very pleased when a woman who appeared to be the owner told me I could bring back my cup on my next visit to be reused/refilled -- and get a $1.50 discount. Win-win!

Friendly service. Boba is usually cooked well, but sometimes under or over cooked. Boba not ready at 9:42am. They open at 9:00am☹️☹️ But atleast we have a boba shop in Leander now 👍🏾

I absolutely love this boba shop! There are so many drinks and combinations to choose from you can come in every day and get a new delicious drink to try. Amazing service and great atmosphere. So glad there is a boba shop in Leander!! 🧋👏😆❤️

Tried the pink dragon refresher today...it's very tasty! I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. The owners were very friendly and wait time was just a couple of minutes. Highly recommend!!

This place is so so cute and I am so happy we finally have a boba place in Leander! The have a very wide range of drinks to choose from and service is very fast, and staff is friendly as well. Chai tea boba is one of my absolute favorites but this place doesn't seem to have it so I'd like to suggest that you pretty please add it to the menu!! I live like 5 mins from the H.E.B and come at least once every 1-2 weeks so I promise I'll be a returning customer! Keep up the great work!

Staff was pleasant. Place seemed clean. My review boils down to pricing and quality of the drinks. I purchased 2 basic taro teas with boba. It was supposedly 16oz as my only option for a boba drink but when I received our drinks it was filled almost to the top with ice. I expect this for a soft drink from McDonald’s but not for the $16 I paid. I couldn’t even maneuver my straw around the ice to suck up the boba. Most places offer blended or iced but it’s never this full of ice. The taste was also gritty/chalky and not as sweet as other taro drinks I usually get. If the gritty was gone the flavor was still pleasant to drink so idk if it’s a matter of error in creating the drink or the actual product.
I was really looking forward to having boba in a convenient place in town but for the price and taste I will travel for others. I do hope the owners consider the constructive criticism to better their shop because as a native to this town not many places have survived/thrived in this location and I know lots of people would love to see you succeed!
Another suggestion, ditch the heavy duty cups for cost savings maybe?

I saw this place had opened near H-E-B and I am very happy it is here that way I don't have to drive very far to get boba. I got the Yakult strawberry drink and oh boy is it fire it's so good. Looking forward to coming back!!

I think this place has a lot of potential but not quite there yet. I came during the soft opening so maybe they need to still work out some kinks. I ordered 2 drinks (at the time there was only one size which looked like large). Ordered 2 milk teas, one with 2 toppings and the other with one topping. The total came out to be $15.60 (this includes tax) which to me is a little high bc at Kung Fu I could be ordering the same (2 large with 3 toppings) and it's cheaper by 2 bucks (including tax). No option to adjust sweetness so the drinks were bland (probably 50% sweetness if compared to the other bobba places). We also didn't feel like there was enough milk (or creaminess) in the drinks making it taste somewhat water down. Customer service was great. While the cups were thicker quality compared to other places, I don't really keep them so I'm not sure why the overall cost is high? I'll give it a few months before I come back bc it's closer to where I live but price-wise and quality I'm gonna drive a little farther for my milk tea.
