I eat there all the time when in town this evening I drove up 60 miles to eat there with my family the web says open till 745i called at 636 to make a order the girl says there closed I asked to talk to john the old man who owns it is says sorry the kitchen is closed I told him the web says 745 the old man hung up on me I will never come in your place again you old fart I'm telling ever one else to 60 miles I drove you could have opened the kitchen to cook us some food I'm a loyal customer now you have lost us was it worth it to close early

Enjoy going to Cafe Texan for breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning with my wife. Whether getting eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Or going the biscuits and gravy route. Great comfort food in a great atmosphere.

Amazing food and customer service, the wait staff are very polite and hospitable. The place also has a home feel and a great history about it.

The salmon parties were so good! Try to eat as often as possible. Negative reviews shock me. This place has been here forever. Food and service is always grand.

This place is a locally owned restaurant that is a staple to many locals in the area. Cafe Texan offers standard diner fare at extremely reasonable prices. This is a true salt of the earth establishment, and not for those looking for a gourmet experience.

Every city with a real square and courthouse used to have a Cafe like Cafe Texan. This is a place where service always comes with a smile, the "regulars" are greeted by name as soon as they arrive, and the coffee is hot and plentiful. The food is everything it should be.

Great chicken fried steak, cucumber and tomato salad was great. Two of us ate, with tip , for under $25. We will be back.

This place is absolutely delicious. My wife and I eat here almost every week, they have some of the best breakfast I've ever had.

Location closed(due to pandemic and city ordinance shenanigans) and sold to someone else whom is renovating location. Loved this cafe and I hope when it reopens that they keep some of the same feel and food.
