Shipley Do-Nuts

Been here several times. Great service very fast. Doughnuts are hot and fresh. I may have purchased a dozen for myself today. I have also bought some kolaches and they were good as well. I used the drive through and it was just a 5 minute wait. The road at the drive through is a little bumpy, be careful.

DO NOT go later in the evening, by this time doughnuts are not fresh and the employees are not very pleasant. I understand it’s been a long day but they need to be courteous no matter how many hours they have been at their shift. None of them had name tags and the lady shut the door in
My face and told me go to the drive through area. The sign says “open 24 hours” but I guess the lobby closes when they deem it necessary.

I had a Horrible experience with this location. I went into the drive-through to order kolache‘s and when I receive the kolache’s it had a dead fly on my food and When I returned the food and the manager did not apologize for the Lola he’s even though she knew the food had a dead fly on it after me telling her. She was very unconcerned. I will never return to buy donuts or any sort from Shipleys again.

Friendly staff. Good food. Sometimes the lines are long, just depending on what time you go. And always check your receipt and bank account. I paid with my card one day and the price on my receipt was different then what my bank was charged. They didn't refund me the money, but they did give me food to replace the over charged amount and the manager was very apologetic about it.

One star because I couldn’t give less . This store has nothing made in the early morning . When you get lucky enough to get donuts early , they are as cold as can be and getting hard from setting out . It must have changed owners .

I always enjoy their fresh donuts. I bought 4 dozens for our garbage sale they were gone in 2 hours.

This donut place is always busy and open late at night. My father in law had been buying donuts from this place for years and he continues the tradition for his grandchildren. The staff is friendly and quick with orders. The environment is clean and the outside of the store is always clean as well. No loitering or trash outside of the store. It is well lit at night also.

They will not give you the coin change that is your money. Shipley's has a sign posted of a coin shortage. No other restaurant or store in all of Houston or the state of Texas has such a sign posted on their premises. When I tried to explain the government does not have coin shortage the two girls on duty ignored me and when they did give me my order they gave me less than what I paid. Tried to call but phone would not accept calls. Went after work and night shift manager said she was unable to help me. She would not even give me the missing items from my order even though I showed her the receipt. Great doughnuts but TERRIBLE WORKERS. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT. 👎👎THUMBS DOWN
