Place is infested with cockroaches, the donuts taste so bad! it’s insane and don’t get me started on the staff

It's hard to dislike a Shipley, so it gets 3 stars even though the donuts weren't fresh and warm, and--worse--the worker in the back, clearly visible from the drive-thru, was handling EVERYTHING without gloves.

I used to love going to this location but over the past few yrs it has been horrible and they lie so much about the donuts being fresh, then I saw a post and pics of a toe nail was found in the donut and I stopped eating there immediately and haven't been to a Shipleys in a yr then the Shipleys on Wallisville opened and has excellent service and the glaze donuts are all made to order so yes always hot and fresh and only complaint is they don't stay open til 10pm but they are 5+ stars and I will definitely recommend then to everyone Uvalde location has gone way down!!!!!!

Man here as of lately. The prices don’t match day to day. One day the dozen of donuts is 10. Other days it’s 11. The kolaches don’t come with just sausage and cheese anymore. I’ve asked for a split of sausage and cheese and jalapeño and cheese. And 2 times in a row. The sausage and cheese have like tiny pieces of jalapeños inside of it. Not everybody likes spicy

Bad slow service on multiple visits. They told me they only had day old doughnuts at 6am, and that in 15 min they would have everything ready. Nah.

Kolaches are hot and good. Donuts are what they do but the other food works too.

90% of the time they are out of ham & cheese colaches. I go 3 or 4 times a week and they're always out of ham & cheese or they ask you to wait 20 more minutes until they baking them.
My question is: if they knows they sale lots of H&C colaches, why they don't bake some more?

I’m not usually on this side of town but my daughter and I were hungry so stopped here. Absolutely the best Shipleys I’ve been to in Houston. Fresh donuts and Kolaches! First class service also. So glad we stopped by
