Coffee is always good. Barnstable are quick and polite. The family bathroom is extremely clean and you can tell it was designed by someone that has kids.

Love Boomtown for my morning coffee and croissant. Their chocolate croissants are to die for. Service is quick and the staff is very friendly. Place is clean and it’s also great to sit down and get some work done. There’s plenty of stores within walkable distance, great place to grab your coffee and run some errands.

The Boomtown taco was awesome a must try. I also loved the Mayan Moca. Love that they roast their own coffee.

I was only interested to trying their espresso. If we are comparing to other espresso specialists in Houston, it is above average. Compared to those in Seattle, it is way below average.

Excellent location in the vicinity of other boutique and artisan shops. The iced latte was decent. I'd give it a 4/5. There's no indoor seating at the moment due to the COVID surge.

Some of the drinks are very unique and definitely haven't seen at everyday coffee locations. I got the Mayan mocha, which is very interesting! Muffin was flavorful but dry, would have definitely been better warmed up.
There is minimal parking in the front by the other surrounding shop fronts. More parking across the street.
Inside is simple and basic, walk in, menu in the front above the registers and wait for your drinks off to the side

I never write reviews, but wow my first experience here was appalling! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! Girl with short blonde / brunette hair and glasses was beyond rude. It was our first time here, so, we explained to the cashier the type of drink we wanted, an ICED espresso with oatmilk & hazelnut syrup simplest coffee ever, something you can get ANYWHERE. However, the cashier said they didn’t have that and that the Undertow was the closest thing they had to what I wanted. I said ok, I’ll get it. When I got it, it came in a small glass cup and it was not iced. When I said I asked for an iced espresso they said they would bring it. The girl brought it but she just put the drink inside a cup with ice! Not even half way filled. She also basically threw the drink on the table and when I tried to explain the drink I wanted, SHE TURNED HER HEAD, ROLLED HER EYES, WALKED AWAY SHAKING HER HEAD SAYING I DON’T KNOW WHAT! She didn’t even try to hear me out. I would understand her reaction if I would have been rude, but I wasn’t. Her reaction was unnecessary. Next time, I would suggest having your staff be nicer and explain the menu to new customers and actually be helpful.
Also, all empty tables were filled with dirty plates. We sat in a table big enough for three for like 15 minutes and there was no one in sight to ask and come clean the table. I’m never coming back here. This place is obviously only catered to certain people. Definitely not welcoming to POC.

Absolutely lovely cafe with great coffee. I have gone a number of times whenever I find myself downtown, and the baristas are always friendly and knowledgeable. Their shakarato is unique and delicious. This is one of the cafes where I can tell they really care about coffee as a craft. I like the space itself, too; as others have said, it's a bit on the livelier side. Enjoyable all around!

Absolutely excellent coffee; the shakerato is incredible and you'd be hard pressed to find another place that does something like that. But the place smells like a pool hall even through my mask because of the cigar/smoke shop next door. I absolutely wouldn't spend any more time there than I had to to get my drink. 🤮
