Boomtown Coffee

I came here to finish some work/study.
The noise from chairs sliding was driving me crazy. It’s so loud and annoying to the ears. Couldn’t go few minutes without hearing it again. I literally regretted trying this place just because of that. Can’t you just lift the chair instead of sliding? Or install some pads down the legs?
Coffee was good but I wouldn’t recommend a dine-in.

A close friend suggested this pkace and I was quite impressed with the quality of the coffee. Good location, easy parking, lots of space inside. They have a little bit of hip vibe inside which was cool. I tried the Flat White twice and it was really nice. What I did notice on both these occasions though was that the employees chat a lot among themselves - it was quite odd as I almost felt neglected after placing the order and making the payment. Other than that, great place!

I met my husband here on our first date years ago, and we keep returning because it's such a great place. They have a great business model and everything here is good.

Very good coffee, with the fragrance of coffee, and not too sweet, I like it very much!

I've been twice, and It's okay, as in meh. Service is fairly quick, atmosphere is relaxed, Pastries are pretty tasty, but the coffee is average. I drink black coffee, I got the house drip and Americano, still didn't stand out very much.

Favorite coffee shop in The Heights! Coffee is on point, and the food is really yummy too. Lines can get really really long on the weekends, so come early if you want to grab a spot and eat inside. Parking is difficult, but that is everywhere in the heights so can’t get around it. There’s definitely a hipster vibe inside, and I love the fact that to to-go portions are really generous! Highly recommend!

I cannot not believe how poorly I was treated. I was mercilessly made fun of by staff and guest for my crop top shirt. I’m used to this sort of behavior but then my ice cap didn’t come out to like it usually look and it had about three inches of room in the cup. It was entirely too sweet and blonde, but I was such a bother for sending it back. I also ordered an herbal iced tea for my husband, but I had no feeling that was remembered not being made. So I stood there getting mercilessly made fun of for my existence, so entirely embarrassed of being visibly queer/trans existence of any capacity being treated like a complete bother. I help this place to a higher standard, and the way that ice cap came out was atrocious.

My new favorite breakfast spot. Gets crowded so I order online to avoid the wait. Love that I can get a good coffee and a quality taco in the same spot.

The cortado here is delicious! It's creamy, slightly sweet, and has hints of chocolate. They also serve various teas, and food items at certain times not(I think only around lunch) in addition to some pastries. The art rotates, which constantly keeps the place fresh and new, and they redid the interior with new furniture and repainted the walls white, making the place seem larger and more inviting. There is an outdoor seating area that is shaded and covered from the elements, and there are plenty of outlets inside. Before the changes, Boomtown was already one of my favorite coffee shops in Houston, and it has only furthered solidified its position up there. I would highly recommend coming here to work, study, meet, or hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.
