Antidote Coffee

To the owners/management: Please allow patrons back on WiFi for the outdoor seating. Thanks! I love this place, my dad loves their coffees and I love their loose leaf teas and the vibe is just fab. There’s plenty of seating outside and fans to keep you cool! So still giving it 5 stars. Just wish they had WiFi even though their inside is closed right now.

Used to love going here in the evenings to do some work. Vintage decor inside is nice despite the small-ish space. Coffee was okay. Felt like a nice quiet neighborhood coffee shop and was very homey.

Unfortunately it’s no longer a good place to try to do any work or studying since wifi is only available 1h at a time and is slow if you can connect at all.

Unfortunately seems like management is so greedy / paranoid of people leaching their WiFi and space that they’ve created a bad experience for people who would otherwise spend a lot of money there.

Creating good ambiance and a pleasant and useful atmosphere for people will make them way more money in the long run than going after every nickel and dime. Unfortunately seems to just be their philosophy given other reviews about being harassed to make purchases quickly.

Favourite coffee shop in town. Coffee is amazing, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Cute indoor set-up with tables, benches, and some couches. Lots of outdoor seating space and open late. If you're lucky, you might catch a food truck outside. Free parking available as well.

Good tasting espresso and some unique flavors to try from. I had their cajeta latte and let me tell you it was so delicious I couldn't put it down. I am a huge fan of goat's milk and cheese and this latte blew my mind. One of the best and unique coffee flavors I have had in a while, I would drive all the way back down here just to drink another one. We also tried their mocha Raspberry, which my boyfriend really likes, and their chai. Everything was great quality and great tasting.

I like Antidote - everyone is friendly here, the coffee is good, music is nice, very laid back vibe. Two points I wish were better though: wifi and seating. I don’t understand why Black Hole and Antidote only allow one hour of wifi, and you need to keep your receipt to access it which they do not tell you when purchasing your coffee (and if there’s a sign it’s not easily visible). And there isn’t a ton of seating for doing work alone. The couches are nice if you come with a couple friends but I wish there were at least one or two more two-top tables, or that the outside two-tops were better covered from the Houston sun. Other than those two things the coffee is great and a good spot to visit either for takeout or just to hang with friends rather than work.

Best beer ever, staff recommended, aged in bourbon barrels, creamy, dark strong, sweet flavor.

This is my go to coffee shop. I love their laid-back vibe and their cold brew is one of my favorites.
It can be tough getting a spot inside, but they have a nice shaded outside area.

Great coffee. Poor parking.
