Great coffee and great atmosphere. Great variety of beans and merchandise. I always like to try local coffee shops when I travel for work and support local companies so I chose this one for today.
Staff seemed uninterested and like they didn’t want to be there and didn’t want to be serving customers.

I stopped in for a cup of coffee and a pastry. The barista was friendly, the coffee was hot and good, and the pastry was tasty. It was very busy but the noise was manageable. I enjoyed the artwork on the walls. I was passing through on I-35, as i do once a month and i plan to make this a regular stop.

Great selection of teas and coffees. You can either order to drink or buy in bulk. They also offer a delicious variety of salads, sandwiches, and pastries. My favorites are the stuffed avocado with salad and the croissant with almonds. Cozy and comfortable ambience with tasteful art for sale displayed on the walls. Will not disappoint...

Great little coffee shop on the square!

Plenty of tables and plenty of delicious drinks and baked goods! They always have interesting art on the walls and it is a really popular spot in the community. People are always having meetings or spending time together here and everyone is friendly and will chat you up. Love this place.

Had quick service but the drink was kinda lacking. I ordered the 12 oz. Snickers, and at $4 , I wasn't expecting a whole heck of a lot but I felt like it was lacking. The chocolate and caramel was overpowered by the taste of espresso. Still, it was a warm drink on a cold day, maybe my next drink from there will have a more balanced flavor to it.

I loved going here when I was an undergrad in Georgetown. Now, I visit much less frequently, but still come by every so often as I have family in GTown. The coffee and character are still about the same, but I no longer come here on weekends or in the evenings as they have live music that is frequently a) too loud and b) bad. So, if you're doing a weekday morning, great. Otherwise be forewarned.

I only lived in Georgetown for a view months but every time I go back I have to visit Cianfrani and get a cup of coffee. Their lattes are delicious and the perfect blend of sweet/flavorful.
This is the real deal... It's not some sugary syrup with a bit of coffee.
The atmosphere is very relaxing and the perfect place to read, do homework, draw, etc...
They have live music and keep local art on the walls.

Black Sugar is located where Cianfrani used to be(they replaced them)
This purple&black coffee shop has it all and most employees are willing to whip something's up if the menu doesn't perfectly have what you'd like.
Black Sugar is one of I believe two locations(there might be other's ) that has my personal fave, "Boba" or "Pearl Tea".
Almond tea with half sugar is my go to, give it a try! 👌

Lacks costumer service. The products are a little pricey for the taste, we ordered two different hot chocolates and they both tasted like hot milk with sugar. The bathroom smelled horrible and it looked like a gas station bathroom. Some of the merchandise is nice, although the price was high. The experience was ok,but was expecting more for this part of town.
