Zera Coffee Denton

I got a mocha frappe with whipped cream and a chocolate chip muffin. Both were delicious! Very clean space, friendly staff and a wide selection of seating. Will definitely be back!

Love Zera! Great place to meet up with friends for a light lunch and gourmet coffee or tea and dessert. Friendly staff and all proceeds go to support Denton Freedom House which helps those struggling with addiction at no cost! That is priceless!

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. My latest experience at Zera just lost them 2 customers, and probably a few more after I tell others who go here about our experience. The staff does not allow outside food inside, and the reason being is that they "have a sign". It is almost unheard of to provide a place for students to come study but not allow them to bring a snack. Imagine needing a refuge to study, packing yourself a sandwich (because you have no money for outside food as a college student), and then heading to the nearest coffeeshop only to be told that you must starve while you work on an assignment. So much for "community minded". How Christian of them to want to make a profit on starving people. They also don't pay the staff. I urge you to stay away from this charity fraud scheme.

I come here literally every day, and my experience has always been extremely positive. The staff are fantastic and always welcoming. Not to mention that I love the coffee and food. 10/10

Had their chicken salad sandwich as a wrap. I've also had several of their coffee drinks, my favorite is a cappuccino. Not exotic but having a drink with art is special to me. Nice people and you can have a conversation without feeling like you are in a library.

Zera hands down my favorite coffee shop with its warm welcoming atmosphere, great coffee, and friendly staff members. I'm currently taking homework heavy classes, and enjoy coming to Zera in the evening to work, and also fellowship with my friends!

Absolutely love this place. Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great, relaxing place to read a book, work on schoolwork, etc. I love coming here to work on my stories. This place also has some cool clubs and is great for finding new friends and social circles.

Even if you don’t like coffee, this is a great place to hang out!

I went there yesterday to study for a little bit. I got my chai tea latte and the time I sat time to study they told everybody to leave because there was an event coming up. I thought it was ridiculous because they should’ve told us there was an event coming soon because people got to work and people paid for their drinks to be there. They should’ve warned me and other people before they kicked everybody out that there was an event. I specifically went there to study and do work and the time I sat down I got kicked out. I wasn’t going to casually get a drink and leave. I had my backpack and everything. I am not coming back because the lack of communication from the employees was not okay.

Wonderful place filled with wonderful people that truly make a difference in the world. Faith based and building new people up in God with coffee! Supporting freedom house! Check it out!

Update October 2020:

Great spot, great staff with a great cause! Tonight was my first time they had a Christian open mic where donations and proceeds from the night go to helping people getting out of prison and homelessness! Can’t wait to go back☺️
