One of my favorite places to work in Dallas. The sandwiches are the best coffeeshop sandwiches I have ever had. Croissants are always fresh. Love the local vendor support and history of supporting local musicians. Great place for writers and students( I wrote so many papers here) Service is always great it is small so expect to wait.

I went for the Motown Review. I will say the establishment is so very coffee housey, the staff was cool, and the artists were very talented. I gave it 3 stars for lack of diversity. Also, some of the songs picked to sing were not even from Motown artists. Maybe some folks don't want to expand or change it up a little. You all do need some color around there and just not on the walls. Overall, it was still a decent way to spend a Saturday night.

Fantastic place with great atmosphere to listen to some talented upcoming artists. It's baby friendly too! Coffee is ok but you come for the music and ambiance. Perfect for a weekday escape. Do bring cash for the artists though, that's how they get paid :(

Great place to get a cup of coffee. It wasn't crowded when I went, but I imagine seating would be tough to find if it were. Not a large amount of tables, but very comfortable relaxing coffee shop. Coffee quality seemed better than average.

Nice little cafe featuring a wide variety of breakfast items, desserts, snacks, and coffee. Expect around 10$ for a coffee and a breakfast item. Nice staff and nice dining area that has beer, wine, and occasional live music.

Cool small spot. Small always great music, live and over the speakers. Good food offering despite the size. They also offer goods from local farms and businesses so definitely support them! Not many parking options but luckily I can walk over from work.

Amazing espresso from a local green producer and awesome atmosphere, how could you go wrong! The staff is very personable and easy to strike up a conversation with. They have some great treats and snack all sourced from local vendors which is a nice plus, and the trivia night is a blast! A must visit if you are in the area.

Caveat: This review rates Opening Bell as a live music venue.
I see a friend play here a couple times a year.
Staff are friendly, coffee is good, selection of wine and beer works well for social outings.
The space feels good for a music venue, particularly for singer-songwriters.
I've noticed that people that bring their teenagers have a good experience, so there is something about the space that is engaging... maybe the games... maybe because it is downtown... my teenage daughter doesn't think it sucks, and I think that is a good sign.
I always enjoy coming here.
The one caution: Parking can be an issue interlocking with other events in the area... wouldn't hurt to figure that out in advance.

Really cool spot with a pretty nice atmosphere. Definitely main character hangout vibes. Coffee was okay (:

My new favorite coffee spot!! Open mic was incredible, some amazing artists with incredible voices and messages. I will be coming back often, the atmosphere was fantastic, the coffee was great, the bacon maple donuts will have me buying more for sure!!! It's a great place to study, read or work or to just hangout and play card games while you listen to great music. Or if your cup of tea is to just sit and talk in a good atmosphere then you also have found your new favorite place! Great job Opening Bell Coffee!
